Shooter games have pushed the limits of the console. Halo 2 was a very complicated game of its time. But people have outlived the games, and now FPS’s need a lot of new features, and realistic graphics and abilities to feel really engaged. Halo 5 is doing the same thing.
If Halo 5 was basically Halo 2 with new maps and such, 343i would get HUGE backlash on copying, not thinking of anything new, and releasing the same game a year apart (H2A and H5). You will get bored of Halo 2. The MCC will show everyone that these games really aren’t as fun to others, and only fun to the aging population of Halo 2 players. Yes, it is fun to play all the Halo games, but it can’t match games like CoD and Battlefield in terms of scale.
So don’t hate Halo 5, accept it and make good feedback after the Beta. That’s why 343i is giving the Beta to all MCC players, because they know the classic players will play MCC.
So help 343i make an updated Halo 2, with new abilities for the new generation, and the old feeling from Halo 2.
Huge backlash because they copied Halo 2, I doubt it? Hell, I bought an entire console because they ended up “copying” the older Halo’s.

lol, just because some people don’t like what they are seeing and complain about it doesn’t mean we have to change our acceptance of H5G. Those people have pretty valid reasons for concern and complaint.
People are complaining about things because they are new, not because they are bad.
It’s part of the human nature to jump to conclusions. I think we should all wait for the beta.

your love for old halo is #nostalgia, CoD and BF are better, halo needs to #evolve, just #adapt, the game needs more #realism, clearly no-one enjoys #simple anymore, so instead lets make it more #modern…it’s simply not #engaging…i mean if we kept it similar there would #StillBeABacklash…so embrace the new change, it’s clear sprint, flat maps and other aesthetic changes make the game much more deep and complex and will certainly increase the scale and bring halo into modern times.
