Because it simply looks f**king awesome! Seriously, how many of you had an extreme nerdgasm when you first saw Master Chief’s hand with the chip in it? Well I had to change my pants… It wouln’t have been that amazing if you knew it was him from the beginning, at least in my opinion.
I didn’t have a nerdgasm. I mean it was a nice touch with the chip, but the robes don’t make him look badass. It was just, meh.
Actually, the franchise development director said: “He is deliberately masking his appearance. And that is all you’re getting.”

Its sad how he becomes more of a human with the loss of Cortana, he has a very sad story and I hope the story has a happy ending, not an even sadder one, but i think we all know how its going to end.

I was actually a version of Halo 4`s soundtrack,117,and it was quite fitting.
I had no Idea it was him until the Hood came off. I didn’t see the chip well. I thought it was dog tags.
