Exactly, thats the point. My personal problem is, that either the armor set looked really cool, but i didnt like the color or i liked the color scheme but not the armor set.
I had bought some armor set when i had the choice to customize the color scheme whenever i want.
They have done just about every easy quick change possible to drop prices and rearrange the bundles/single items, and you all are still not satisfied. Also knowing more is already in the works for its changes, as if it wont change in the future. Such small minds with narrow visions.
It was their decision, to disable color customizing. It was their decision to disable cross core combination of the armor.
Its my decision if i am willing to pay 13 Euro for an armor set with a preset color scheme. Im not asking to give me the armor set for free. I say that i would pay 13 Euro for an armor set, when i could customize the color scheme, whenever i want. Just read my initial post of the topic.
I bought the Halo Infinite campaign, the Battle Season 1 and Season 2 on day one. I would have also bought the Halo Infinite Multiplayer mode.
Just simple as that: let me customize the color scheme of an armor set and im buying the armor set.

When I say the armor “means” something, I’m clearly referring to the fact that you had to earn the armor. You earned credits to buy them, you earned them with achievements, or you earned them through various other accomplishments. That’s accounts for a vast majority of the reasons why people liked the armor in past Halo games and hate how they are now.
Nowadays, all armor means is someone’s wallet was used. I’ll say it again. Armor actually meant something in the past and now it doesn’t. Not to mention 343 essentially decieved many people into thinking they couldn’t customize cross core which is scummy. (or else people wouldn’t think it’s impossible)
When I said the armor was useless and purposeless, that had nothing to do with me saying it was just cosmetic. Armor has always been cosmetic. Honestly, I think someone’s an idiot if they buy armor. Armor used to show off your skill and accomplishments and now it’s used to show off your wallet. And nobody likes that and nobody cares when you go into a game flaunting payed-for-armor.
Selling armor, IN ANY COMPACITY, completely ruins what made armor good in past Halo games. If you don’t agree, I can only assume you weren’t around when that was an actual aspect of Halo. People went on for years asking about “How did you get Recon?!? Your dad works at Microsoft?!?”. You think people went crazy over Recon because it looked cool?
Nobody gave a crap about Recon in Halo Reach because it wasn’t attributed to any achievement or challenge. All it meant was that you preordered the game or reached a VERY easy rank. It lost all it’s worth.
There is no actual customization to be had - no matter what you do, your in-game representation will die just as easily with “armor” or without it. A default spartan is exactly the same as an “armored” one.
Wasting time and/or money trying to obtain said “armor” is foolish. None of it will actually impact the result of any game you happen to get placed in.
Dont talk to the troll
OP, just so you know, any “armor” you happen to acquire will not actually help you. It’s all useless. Don’t waste your time and especially money on any of it. The word Armor implies a defensive capability but here on this game it does nothing.
Dude you sound like a Christian trying to force your beliefs onto people, just stop
I’m not preaching fiction like they are, I’m simply stating facts
It being over priced is reason enough on it’s own to disregard it’s existence.
Even 1 cent is overpriced seeing as how it has no bearing upon gameplay
And 99% of the people here have been disagreeing with you still keep spamming? Right
How am I spamming? This post is about buying armor. “Armor” in this game does nothing and has no value at all. If you can prove to me otherwise, please do!
I change my armor to represent something. I don’t care if the kukri I bought doesn’t give me an actual knife, it just looks cool. Wearing the ODST helmet doesn’t give me VISR but it was two tone in Reach, so I picked it. Emile’s helmet has a skull to create fear. And it looks cool.
My opinion? I’m not sure what you’re referring to, this post is about buying armor. None of that has any value and is not worth anything.
I changed my response, mostly because I want to be more clear.
I know that armor is just cosmetic. Nothing more, it doesnt add more shield, speed, extra ammo and so on.
Still, i like to customize my character. I did that in GOW, in Halo and all other games that gave me the possibilty to customize my character.
Im pretty sure that everyone is aware that armor is only cosmetic nature. Still people buy armor sets. Some because they collect all items, other because they want to show support for their preferred Pro Halo Team, other just because they like a specific armor set.
I would like to buy an armor set. But i cant customize the color scheme. For me, personally, its absolute important to have the option to customize the color scheme.
I won’t buy one because I put a cap on how much I’m willing to spend each month. 10 Euros is my cap.
I was actually looking at the War Master armor, and I thought to myself “Man, this looks really cool, I want to use Microsoft Rewards Points on this,” but every time I look at that package in the store, I realize it’s so grossly overpriced for what it is. The only thing I really want out of that package is the chest piece and helmet. I have no other Helmet attachments to use with it, the coating is whatever (I would never use it), the shoulder pads are… Fine, but there’s a set very similar to them in the Pass, and the emblems are wholly worthless. My immediate thought is that I’m just going to look like everyone else who bought War Master, or I’m not going to get a full $15 (true cost) out of it.
So why would I buy it? I can just use the other parts out of the Pass for customization purposes, the MK.7 helmet is perfectly good as a helmet for me (probably the best new design in the game) and nothing else in the package appeals to me.
It’s a real swing and miss for a Free to Play game if the player’s response to seeing something in the store is “I like this, but not enough to purchase it.” Try again, 343.
