I have never played any of the good Halo games (only played 4,5, infinite) but you can tell there is aim assist on console with controller. That’s a fact it just does it exist. It would make sense for it to be higher on PC (like fortnite was before CP). this levels the playing field between M&K players and controller players on PC. Whether or not it is “too strong” isn’t something I can comment on but perhaps it is given the Pro scene as of current.
I do think that is very telling, but keep in mind a lot of these guys have always played controller on Halo. Sure some might have switched, but most might have remained on controller anyway.
I think we’ll see some more m&k players come on to the pro scene later.
Nah we wont unless 343 decides to respect mnk the way they respect controller. There is no way on earth the way things are as of now that mnk can make it to the pro scene. Mnk is a joke in high levels of ranked gameplay. You are essentialy a liability to your team if you dont use a controller.
@C0LD5H0T I dont think it will be a lot, but there’s a few insane MnK players out there. If they find a way on the pro scene then its possible, it would just be tough.
If the current state doesn’t change, that won’t happen. Only the top KBM players are competing in the HCS and they’re not making it far. They really don’t stand a chance and they know that. Even a Halo pro coach was watching a KBM only team competing, he had to pick his words wisely because people in his live stream chat were trying to say how much of an advantage there is with KBM. He really couldn’t say much and just saying “I don’t know about that”.
That same team he was watching, did beat a controller team in the early polls and that team flagged the KBM team as cheating. Took an admin/mod to determine they in fact were not cheating and advanced them.
Im going to assume youre asking the question in general, but fom my first comment on this thread, youll see im starting to lean more on the side of re-balancing. I used to be fairly against it, especially since the input argument very, very old… Theres still m&k players on games like Fortnite or Apex that b**** about Aim assist being too strong. When m&k has a clear advantage, and the numbers back it up. I do believe Halo Infinite is a different situation though
Anyways. It shouldn’t be tough, Im just still leaving it open ended, where a godlike m&k player could make it to the pro scene… thats all.
They still have a chance to compete. But, in order for them to have an equal chance, they must either do one of two things: A) be better or B) change their equipment. In Golf, a good player can use a Driver and shaft that spins a lot for their benefit, however, most other players will have a Driver that spins less so they are more consistent.
The problem is that what you say is not true, stats dont lie. Even pros admitted to it. All pros say that no matter how how good you are on mnk controller will always be superior.
I disagree. I am an mnk player and i can deffinetly say that there are godlike controller players (ex snip3down) just as there are godlike mnk players. The problem is controller as an input is just way way more consistent .
Nah, he’s had plenty of chances to move on to the more skillful input and still clutches to his controller like AA is the only way he can be good. He’s garbo.
