By now everyone is aware of some launch related bugs with the Master Chief Collection. Although this is infuriating, it is safe to assume that they will be fixed in time.
The thing that really drives me up a wall is the sad fact that all of the developer’s time and energy, and all of our rage is being channeled on basic features that should have already been working VS. the little things that are missing, will be overlooked and would have made this an absolutely perfect game.
Unfortunately the game has been so broken that we haven’t even noticed them yet. But a few examples are
lack of playlists for H2 classic
basic lobby features like changing party leader
hit % summary at the end of h2 games
detailed in-game stats and web dashboard for game summaries and multiplayer stats (remember the heat maps in h2?)
proximity chat in H2 (this may actually be in the game, or maybe it was a glitch. at one point I did hear the other team, but I couldn’t hear MY team so I’m guessing its a glitch)
I’m sure the list will be HUGE, there were tons of nuances about Halo 2 that made it great. Many of which I’m sure have been overlooked and will now never get center stage because of all the focus on major features that were somehow incomplete at launch.
I’ve moved from been enraged to genuinely sad. This should have been a glorious event and instead it has turned into a sad say for Halo fans.

5vs5 team slayer
No party-up feaure
Guests in ranked playlists
Just to add a few more that really REALLY bother me
I’d say it’s safe to assume that more and more playlists will be added… but team doubles was absent from H4 FOR MONTHS. 343i also never removed join-in-progress and they never added in-game ranks to halo 4 either. Based on their track record I think we will be lucky just to have matchmaking up and running at this point.

Does anyone know when the beta ends? I’ve been doing my best to provide feedback so the final product isn’t a trainwreck. I have a compiled 4 page list strictly on matchmaking that I need to submit to 343 before it’s too late. Thanks for running this beta 343. Definitely a wise move.

Agreed on all fronts. I think that the guest thing will work itself out once people start to get decent ranks - especially if the guest shares the host account’s rank. For me anything that detracts from the team social/communication aspect of the game (such as being able to use private party chat) is a detriment to the experience and should be removed.

there was a h2 classic list, but it was removed to improve the matchmaking problems. Look for it to return as soo. As it is all cleared up (which will be hopefully soon)

One playlist for the greatest multiplayer game of all time isn’t adequate soooo
