the real reason people don't like the new halo's

So lately, I’m sure we’ve all noticed that people are not liking the new Halo games that have been coming out. It started back when Reach came out and then to Halo 4 and 5, so I did some thinking and I have finally come to a conclusion to why people seem to dislike the latest Halo titles, that’s right, I did it, I found the missing piece of the puzzle, I cracked Davinci’s Code! It turns out, this reason is subliminal and not many people have noticed it, but it may just be the real reason people are so “upset” with the current direction of the franchise. The problem is that something is missing… something small, but easy to remember, it is the size of a man, specifically a marine, a UNSC marine, a marine with a voice as charming and as smooth as buttery whipped cream, and an accent as real as the remastered Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes. His name is Chipps, Chipps Dubbo. Don’t you get it people?! That’s what’s missing! That is why people are so upset! Our buddy Chipps is gone, and without his enthusiastic presence, many players have lost their motivation for the game! Now hear me out now, hear me out. Listen, every Halo game from CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, to Halo 3: ODST was generally well recieved by fans, and all of these games had one thing in common… Chipps the man. Now, notice how people didn’t like Reach as much as the earlier titles, and then disliked Halo 4, and eventually hated Halo 5. Notice how all of these games didn’t have Chipps anywhere to be found. Do you see now?! Do you see the connection? Three Halo games with Chipps, and three without him! Coincidence? I think not!

Now do you get it people?! Wake up! Open your eyes! The truth is right before us people! 343! If you are listening, the only thing, the only man that can save this game and this franchise is the one and only, the man himself, the legend, Chipps! He is our only hope! Chipps is love, Chipps is life, all hail the almighty Chipps!

before you get your internet pitchforks out, keep in note, this is for entertainment and humor purposes only and should not be taken seriously

You know you might actually have a point here…the more recent Halo games have taken a bit of a step back from the Marines…come to think of it does 5 even have any featured in the campaign? You got the miners on Meridian but…thats it.

yeah, no that’s not the reason people don’t like some aspects of the newer halos

There’s… uh… a couple Marine corpses on Genesis… if that means anything…

The original post did make me LOL, but there is some truth to the fact that the goofy nature of the Marines (wisecracking even when in the midst of combat) is one of those little endearing Bungie details that seems to be missing from the 343 experience. I hope we get those in the future.

I’m so happy that the tone of the UNSC seems to be getting back on track, if the units from Halo Wars 2 are anything to go by that is.

Nearly spit my drink when I heard the warthog driver yell ‘MEEP-MEEP!’ before plowing into a horde of grunts, heheh, good times.

overall disliking is formed by multiple factors but the marines are possible one reason for it. The humor of the marines is one thing that keeps the gameplay that bit more interesting and likeable (even though they are glassheads they are our allies glassheads with mouths).

Does Halo Wars count?

I actually don’t know about Chipps. Can anyone inform me?

Halo needs to be more militaristic again

I’ve noticed that marines have almost no presence anymore

They are also very small compared to spartans

both physically and in connection to their roles

Nice deduction skills.

He is a noticeable marine character that is popular among Halo fans due to his humorous remarks during gameplay in the campaign and his Australian accent. You can learn more about him here on the wikia page.

I guess the marines are back on earth, whilst all the new spartans are out exploring and saving the universe.

I agree, This is what halo 5 should’ve had

The real reason is SGT Johnson the stuff he came up with what a legend

Do bodies count? There are bodies on Genesis.
