Considering that the Halo community has pretty much gone to -blam!- it’s safe to say that perhaps the real reason Bungie left the reigns of the Halo universe to 343 Industries was to avoid having to endure the constant punishment of an angry fanbase.
Currently, the Halo 4 forum is a mess. It’s filled with numerous arguments. This and that being complained about, such 'n such being praised. I actually find it kind of entertaining to take a look at the most heated threads just to see how chaotic it’s become.
It’s really no wonder why Bungie left Halo. They wanted to simply move on to something new in order to avoid further punishment for changing (what the fanbase now declares) “their” game.
I mildly think your right, mostly though i think it was MS trying to make them do/add what they didn’t want in the game, while i dont mind the ordnance drops im sure thats something bungie would have never put into the game because part of map control is weapon control, whats weapon control of the other team can call in power weapons at their feet
Bungie has always tried to make halo its own game then in one swoop 343 managed to make it what i think would be a future/space CoD, next game we will be able to go prone im almost sure
The community has been like this since Halo 2. They’ve endured the punishment for a long time. Bungie got tired of doing Halo and tired of being under Microsoft’s ever watchful eye.
