The Real Halo Player....

I am quite excited about the update to Reach that will be announced at Halo Fest. I feel that this is the first glimpse that we have at the direction 343 wants to go with Halo. My hopes are simple. Major change to Reach to bring it more in line with all the Halo games we previously loved.

In my opinion the will most likely change:

  1. Bloom. An update to make it more accurate to its intended purpose. (I would rather they eliminate it)

  2. Ranking. I believe that 343 will listen to the public and fix the ranking system. (Please o Please)

  3. Load Outs. I have a feeling that we are in for a serious nerf on AA’s. (I hate them and I would rather not have them but a major nerf would be better than nothing.)

  4. Maps. They will most likely tweak and play with things that they believe need to be fixed in maps.

  5. Game types. We will most likely see a complete revamp of the playlists because I believe they will change the ranking. (If they made bloom a toggle off i imagine Arena and other “skilled” player lists would be OFF)

If they were to change all of these things I believe they will draw many of the long time “Real Halo” players back. In my opinion Reach has strayed so far from what the other Halo’s were that it is not actually a Halo title. If they were to make these changes and more it might actually start feeling like Halo again.

I am also excited to see the TU. I believe 343 cares about Halo as much as the community. I do not think they will disappoint.

I doubt the update will have much of that. That is called way too high expectations. It will just probably give us more options to bring back the old Halo classic feel back.

If they actually get rid of AA’s it will confirm the communities hold on the halo series. AA was an amazing idea, maybe they shouldn’t have been a default part of MM, but still a great idea. The only change in AA I wanna see is… well more AA’s. It would be a great idea if they added more playlist were most the AA’s were pick ups accept for sprint and evade those should be default.

It’s likely just going to be options to disable bloom, fall damage, etc to more match the older Halos. Possibly individual weapon/grenade damage modification options, as the current Classic settings have nades that are tactical nukes.

AAs as pickups would have probably been better, and it would of made them kind of like power weapons. There would actually have been strategy with them of they would have been pickups.

i love all those ideas (as a REAL halo player myself) veteran Halo fans dont want to change to all the BS bungie added to reach the more the TU makes reach like 2/3 the better

I know. I can’t wait until Halofest!
