It was datamined from the game during the final Flighting test. Cleary at some point between the final flight and the open beta release they decided to drop 20 levels from the Battlepass and sell some of the cosmetics from those 20 levels in the store instead.
I asked this too. The picture is from reddit. Google ‘battle Pass 120 Level halo infinite’ or smth like this. There’s everything described.
The same thing happened to Gears 5. I smell a MS exec/rat.

Wow, just imagine if they had released the original battlepass, charged £5/$5 and implemented a decent progression system through the ranks.
The result would have been insane. They have (imo the best multiplayer) the best Halo gameplay, no negative feedback, more people would have bought the battlepass, and generally a happier community. It’s not as if they are short of money either with Microsoft backing them, plus, I would imagine they get a big chunk of the game pass subscription money.
I do think greed got it he way slightly but they are working on a change in direction which is good of 343. They absolutely nailed the gameplay so kudos to them for that, just the pesky battlepass they messed up royally on lol.

There’s still quite a bit of filler or empty ranks according to that image, but it’s miles ahead with content compared to what we have now.
I want this battlepass and for the Armor Core equipment embargoes to be lifted. This is superior in concept, but with less filler, it could perfect in concept.
Or get a challenge swap and that challenge be even worse that your original challenge you swapped lol
It always confused me as to why the achievement for completing the battle pass says 120 on it, but since I found out that they gutted 20 levels off and re-did it to sell more, it just makes me more angry,
