There are so many Reach and 4 Halo noobs now who don’t know hardly anything about Halo CE, or even Halo 2… or even Halo 3!
This is crazy having to explain things that we already have had in Halo games to people on Halo forums. No one remembers things like the Needler’s needles being blue in the gun and turning pink from getting hot when fired in CE. Or even things like the experience points in Halo 3 that gave you all those ranks like General! It’s getting crazy out there now. I feel old now lol. Those of us who started with CE and remember it need to hold it down for Halo to keep the things that made Halo Halo around.
New and younger people integrating into the franchise was inevitable. If somebody didn’t know something, they will know with the Master Chief Collection.
I personally don’t see this as a problem. If they don’t know something, then you can answer it and rank up on waypoint. If you prefer not to take the time to do this, then you don’t have to. It is as simple as that. But don’t forget that you can smoke those noobs in multiplayer within the MCC.
I really don’t care if new people come in and don’t know all the stuff about Halo 1-3. That is fine everyone starts somewhere and they will learn over time.
Only thing I do not appreciate is when people who never played the games try to tell me (a 5 Star general of halo 3 who started halo with CE back in 2001 mind you) how ‘bad/boring’ Halo 1, 2 or 3 was or how I “don’t know” what I am talking about. That really grinds my gears honestly.
I’ve sadly come across players like that who despise Halo 3 for some odd reason. They gave it a few matches after Halo 3’s prime time ended and claim “yep game is bad takes no skill is boring haha!”. That is when I facepalm.
