Hey everyone! For those of you that voted on the “More Vehicles” poll, you may remember me briefly commenting about the rocket Warthog from Combat Evolved. This time around, I thought I would build on that. I figure a lot of you played Halo CE, because it’s on both PC and every existing Xbox platform, and if you played on the map Blood Gulch or Sidewinder, you might remember the old variant of the rocket Warthog. It was immediately set apart from other Warthogs because of the black body and yellow race stripe, and the fact that it had a 3-round magazine rocket turret. I for one always found the vehicle interesting, as it wasn’t ever in the campaign, or referenced in any future Halo game. For this reason, I think it would be interesting to re-introduce it as a Retro variant vehicle, adding a different aspect than the standard rocket hog. We have retro variants like the CE Magnum and Halo 2 Battle Rifle, and I just feel it could be fun re-introducing this vehicle and differentiating it from the other rocket hog in some way. Maybe semi-auto rocket firing? Like, you could control how many rockets left the magazine when you fire.
