imagine a ranking system where you rank up depending on how well you do note this will only work in slayer game types. I have had enough in halo 5 going +10 kd and having everyone on my team go negative. please 343 im begging you have a skill based ranking system not rng because of teammates.
That’s a little more extensive to implement but not impossible. I liked Halo 4’s CSR ranking more from 1 to 50.

i like the halo 5 ranks eg bronze silver gold but they should do it by solo performance rather than team performance only in slayer though

Its not if your team loses your rank goes down its because of your previous ranks that your different ranks

You were either carried or messed up in your ranking matches.you cant be placed in onyx the highest is diamond 3. By looking at your stats it looks like your carried hard considering all your game modes are gold 4 to plat 3 what season were you onyx in slayer

Years ago, back near launch time. Didn’t place directly into onyx I don’t think, hard to remember exactly, but I think we all placed in low diamond or high platinum. Just started playing again due to infinite hype and wasn’t referring to my latest seasons - I’m aware that I am a shell of what I once was after taking years break from all fps lol.
I’ve heard a lot of mumbo jumbo about true skill… and I think it’s important to start fresh in infinite…
it quite frankly is just a beaten horse 
… someone at 343 has been trying to make it work for forever and failed extensively.
hidden ranks, and other crazy complexities that have drummed up 50/1 games and they match you against the same players again and again.
learn about reality 343…there is no hidden skills and ranks… in halo 2 when you were a 34 you faced 34s…that’s it… in fact a team of 34s only faced a 43 when the other three players on his team were 1s.
i suggest going back to take a look at what worked then and reimplementing it…
all im saying is… it don’t work… it’s Nonfunctional and hopefully a big boss at 343 will understand and scrap the system and move forward with simplicity.
like seriously if I want, as a lvl 1 to play a tough game… i will hope to match against a 3. in comparison, in h5… if you are a d2, you can get matched against champions, onyx… not d4 at the highest.
im not going to complain anymore but seriously, this guy has built a system on a hay hill and it is as high as the eifle tower and its raining… 
please tell this guy to go teach and stop ruining halo for all players
