Look at my last 10 games in my Game History, all Team Arena Matches, all of my placement matches (Here is a link: Lazy Link). Now yes, I have placed in Gold before, but I was playing solo and doing very well. Now while going solo, I still managed 7 wins, 3 losses, and I literally went positive every game. I felt like I deserved a mid to high platinum ranking, but no, the game decides that my starting rank is still the same. 343 should just remove seasons at this rate.
You have to remember they take in prev seasons CSR so from what i see gold is fine for you.
If they placed you higher you mighy struggle.
Also if you feel like you belong in plat then ranking up shldnt be a problem for you.

The issue is that team arena is a team game in which you only rank up by winning. It’s not FFA where I can get 4th and still go up potentially.
I ended last season with a Gold 6 in Team Arena, and that was because I had few games in with a team. What I am saying is, they should have longer seasons or no seasons, because if anything, I am losing progress.
Chin up. You’re close. A few strong wins with a decent team will put you right up in Plat. But grinding solo in Team Arena can be torture. It’s very dependent on team mates (especially those that don’t quit). Unfortunately with the present system unless you end this season at Plat 5 or 6 you will probably end up right back in Gold at the start of next season. 343 likes to have players play a lot to “work their way up the ranks”. Most of the threads we are seeing seem to bear this out.
