The ranking system for this game should mix Halo 3 and Reach

Simple. Use a truskill like system for matchmaking. 1-50. But make people need to get a certain XP (exactly like Halo 3) to move to the next rank.

Except XP should be based on individual performance. So almost like firefight scoring, but in multiplayer.

343 has to come up with something good
something that people cant abuse,
and something that dosent take half my life to get to the mid rank

and sorry about this off topic but:
why isint anyone worried about the vehicles or vehicular combat in H4?
it was ruined in reach

I think they should have the true skill mix also.
You are required to gain exp, which is added to a meter like in Halo: Reach, but instead of as soon as the meter is filled and you rank up, you have to fill up another meter or so to go up to the next grade of your rank. You can gain exp and go up grades in your rank that way, but to go on to the next rank name such as from Lieutenant to Captain, you need to raise your true skill level. I never was into the 1 exp per game thing, I’d rather get a few thousand or something. This is just my opinion on a True Skill/Reach Meter rank-up system.
Example:
"|" Stands for a space.
Rank: General Grade 1
G1 [-----------------------||||||] Tier 2 of G1
G1 [---------------------------] General Grade 2
Rank: General Grade 2.

All good, except for individual performance. It should be based off if you win or lose, like h3. It promoted teamwork, and made some epic moments.

What’s wrong with gaining a single EXP from each game? It makes it easier to keep track of how many games you won instead of earning 2345 cR for one game.

1 more thing. Halo 4 had BETTER NOT take 60 days to hit max rank like halo reach. I dont wanna waste half my life on a game. Skill should determine highest rank.

How about:

  1. An EXP system with strict grading requirements that count towards your actual level. De-ranking possible. Quitting results no EXP rewarded for that match along with deductions from your current EXP. The same with being booted for betrayals.

  2. A monetary system similar to cR in Halo: Reach. Rewarded for kills, assists, scoring points, and medals. Example: 100 cR for a kill, 50 for an assist, bonuses for headshot kills, assassinations, etc… In objective-based games, allotment for objective scoring - offence (capping a flag, detonating a bomb, etc…) and defense (killing flag-carrier, defending a territory, defusing a bomb, etc…)- far outweighs scoring for kills, assists, etc… Monetary bonuses allotted to the victor, monetary penalties allotted to the loser. Does not add to EXP. Used to unlock armor permutations and other aesthetics.

Maybe add in gametypes similar as to those found in Call of Duty: Black Ops where you place monetary wagers.
