I tried so hard getting a high rank in halo 5’s communnity breakout gamemode. I played my first 10 games and was really happy with the outcome. i won 8 out of 10 matches and had a K/D of 2.769 (72 kills, 26 deaths and 14 assists). So there i was, thinking i would get placed a really high rank, but instead i got placed frigging Gold 2. I mean common plaese 343 get your ranking system right. This kind of crap happened before also when I played the 10 matches with my friend, while I got placed silver 3 he was placed Platinum 3! I also had almost every game a higher K/D. Please 343 Industries either help me or fix this issue.
It’s indeed a strange system as players who play the same matches end up with different ranks. Then again it is said that previous seasons also impact your new rank.
However, looking through your matches, I think the reason is that most wins you have are against players lower than gold, and one loss I saw was against atleast two platinums.
In some way it does make sense then that you did end up with Gold R2. Because you did win against lower ranked players but lost to platinums.
In essence, themselves do not really matter, but who you won against should matter.
If you win 9 matches against bronzes, but lose against golds, where would you say you belong?
You lost two matches, just because you did good an think you deserve diamond doesn’t mean you do. It’s compared to all the other players ranks too. I got 12-13 kills ik breakout a game, won 8/10, and am a platinum 6. Way higher k/d than you and won the same amount of games. Don’t see anything wrong with the way you were matched. They’re not just going to hand you a high rank. Earn it.
