The ranked changes are good

End of.

Get a grip.

You’ll be with people of a similar skill level. You’re not going to get dragged down or do dragging down.

That’s all. It’s good. Learn to live with Ranked being actually ranked. Finally.

Problem is: its a good change if you have a healthy player population. 343 drove already so many players away that this coul easily kill the game for good. Plus, the lack if a social br list does the rest…

Team slayer has BR starts

But it can’t be voted for. So players looking for AR starts get stuck in BRs and players looking for BR starts get stuck in ARs.

Agree 100%
I had even raised the amount of completed social matches to 50 before you enter ranked.
The CSR boundaries for ranked are also the right way. They will some fine tuning. Time will tell.

nope. thats a plain wrong answer.
just because 1 out of 10 is BRstart, TS is not an option if you wanna play br only

In fairness, they forced everyone to play Slayer BR in 58% of the potential game type/map combinations within the most popular matchmaking playlist (Team Slayer). As a result, the BR-only zealots should be much happier.

That would actually be about 6 out of 10.

any official numbers for your 58%? But it doesn’t matter anyway… would still be a 42% instant quit rate.

As a matter of fact, yes. When you navigate through the menus in Halo Infinite, choose Multiplayer, and select Team Slayer, you can utilize the Game List option to scroll through all of the potential game type/map combinations. The Arena:Slayer BR game type is available on seven maps, while Arena:Slayer appears on five different maps. All things being equal regarding precedence between different maps, that is a 7-out-of-12 chance you will get Slayer BR… over 58%.

Another perfect example of why the temporary bans for people who intentionally quit need to be much more stringent than they are right now.

End of nothing!
Skill level means nothing with 200ms games!

This is a sad day. Before this, I could play every part of every Halo with all of my friends. It is a failure on 343 that they are unable to design a game where that can still be done. They said they wanted to reach a “broader audience” but they think adding restrictions is the way to do that?

The ranked playlist was already one of the least populated. This will just make it worse.

Hardly. It will be fine.

Sometimes.

Bingo.

Not just that, but the social radar is just horrible, my Gods.

I’m gonna’ be honest, Ranked isn’t for playing with friends who aren’t your skill level. It just isn’t.

Ranked is for competitive players. You might notice how scant ranked challenges have been.

Aw man. I started the match with Fortnite as my weapon, but I wanted to spawn with PUBG. Oh well, at least I didn’t spawn with CoD Black-Ops IIII as my starter BR like that guy over there . . . ayo did our fourth start with Vigor?

Wow the enemy team started the match with The Culling, CoD Vanguard Warzone, Realm Royale, and Knives Out.

I think we win dude.

This game isn’t meant to be played with friends. Period.

This would have never been a problem if 343 gave us more options. Like a Quickplay playlist and a BTB playlist with BR starts. Many people only want to play this game with BR starts and the only way to do that is Ranked. 343 has just messed up this game’s design. And instead of fixing the core problems, they just double down and make things worse.

This is just one of the many problems 343; invented with this game and now they are trying to give us a solution that doesn’t fix the actual problem. It’s just a band-aid to try and cover up the problems. It’s just going to drive more people away.

Then your friends need to get good if they want to play ranked.

You want precision modes? Complain with the rest of us.

But don’t let ranked get dragged down because 343i isn’t giving us a basic social mode.

Most of the time, as I described earlier.

I doubt the system would work anyway.

Given that Ubisoft cannot get their MMR Pairing system to work for Rainbow Six Siege, which is supposedly meant to pair you with similar rankings; I highly doubt that 343 can pull it off.

I still get paired with Diamond 1 and Champion level players on the regular despite being only Gold 1.
“1,000 MMR range” my MJOLNIR Space Diaper!

I’ve only reached Platinum ONCE in my entire Rainbow Six career because as soon as you get up there, it is all rapid down hill on Xbox with the majority of players in the higher ranks using M&K on Console (bannable offense in Siege).

If you think this is going to “fix” ranked, you’re kidding yourself. All this is going to do is make even less people play it. There are so many different ways 343 could have dealt with this issue that don’t involve preventing people from playing.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Apparently, this changes makes it so plats actually match plats or something like that.

That sounds good on paper at least.
