Don’t get me wrong, I’m very excited to see this thing in action, but anyone else worried this will be one of those weapons that will rack up kills like nobodies business.
No, no, handheld MAC-Cannon.

Could you imagine the kick on a handheld Mac cannon?

I doubt 343 would go to the lengths that they are to balance the sandbox if they were just going to leave the rail gun over-powered.
Personally, I think it won’t be as easy to manage as some people think. It probably has specific scenarios where it is effective, and others where it’s not. I doubt that we are going to see Ragnarok in a compact rifle sized package.

Yes, it’d be fun!

I think you mean dislocation on a hanheld mac cannon.
I think another power weapon would be awesome. Then again we don’t know if it is a power weapon maybe it will take the position of the brute shot or something?
going to shoop a mac cannon brb
To me the most powerful weapon in the game will always be a BR or DMR. Mainly because I can use them well - they might not pack the biggest punch, but they have nearly no disadvantages.
I would imagine the rail gun will have a long reload time, and maybe low ammunition, just like the spartan laser.
Don’t know what to say, instantaneous grenade-like shots… hoo-RA.

You do realize it probably won’t be a rapid machine gun fire weapon right?
There’s always the chance that it’ll be a Campaign-Only Weapon, which would be quite boring, but i bet there’s a way to balance the weapon in case it’s in MP. Dunno, i bet a Tungsten-Shooting Cannon will have a fast rate of fire.
Sounds like a cool weapon. Might wanna give it a go come November
Rail Gun - Heavy Weapon Class - small aoe, long range, no scope, small clip, high damage, low splash damage, slow rof, anti vehicle, anti infantry
Hopefully its a Heavy Weapon like the detached turret.
I hope it operates like a real railgun. If so, it should have an instant kill, no auto aim, low to medium ammo level (railgun ammo is generally heaver than traditional ammunition)AND OR Energy Level(Rember railguns use a massive jolt of electricity to launch there ferromagnetic heavy meatl rounds) and a semi moderate rail cooldown period(rails get insanely hot when fired). Railguns operate differently than MAC guns which are Coilguns, not railguns. Im sick of people calling it a MAC, its not!!!
What is the difference between the MAC round and a Gauss round? I’m pretty sure they both use gauss technology to fire, only the MAC round requires a little extra stuff.

Just imagine MAC Canon thrusters on Chief’s suit.
I literally just answered that in the above post haha.
