Yes there are some tricks to get maybe 25% of your armor to be Dark Purple but its not quite the same. It seemed like when the color choices came out they went with the following:
Pinky Purple - Pink - Lavender - Barbie Pink - Hello Kitty Pink - Accidentally washed your white shirt with a red shirt pink. I think since Halo 2 they have had a pretty legit dark purple. Now its probably a fairly small group that digs that color but so far the only option to get at least 25% are the following Armor sets:
Soldier
Seeker (Although this armor look like a Halo Bjorn)
Noble
Protector
Hunter
and the Mark VI versions.
Dark Purple/Violet (Primary) and Yellow (Secondary) have been my colors since H3. So when I went to change my armor colors… I was kinda disappointed by the purple. It’s just kinda… not… dark. And since launch, I’ve been trying to find a new color scheme, but alas, to no avail.
Colors seem like it would be one of easiest things to do, so I was surprised at the low quality of the available choices. I think the Promethean in warzone refers to Spartans as the olive one. Yet olive isn’t even available.

It’s a strange change to say the least. Perhaps they did have darker colors and they were OP for FFA… that or someone at 343 is a huge fan of Easter.
This really ought to be addressed. The colors in this game were changed from previous for no reason and to great negative effect. I’ve been purple/gray every single game to this point. I had to do gray/purple and can’t wear certain armors without it showing up as fuchsia.
Also, there are no actual orange options. Unless you count “crimson” which shows up as what used to be orange in Halo 4. Please, please let me have my damn color back!
How about we get “midnight black” first. I want my Spartan super solider, I don’t know, MAYBE LOOKING TATICAL.
enough of the pizza skin & pastel colored content for the time being 343i. I was in the military and I want my digital avatar/Spartan to look like he is as well. (This should’ve been ready at launch, the fact we are now 4 months post launch and received “the last slice” before any authentic military colors is tragic and yet again makes me question the individuals who make the decisions over at 343i).
all the colors are pretty lame besides the reds, its why I picked white instead of blue like I usually do.
