The Pulse Carbine is completely useless

Three hit kill, but only if you land direct hits. It’s not a very effective weapon as it stands. But the area denial is pretty good, yes.

I feel like it’d be better if the projectiles were much faster. The slow projectiles actively work against the homing aspect, as they can’t course-correct on an erratic target. Having them go much faster would make the homing aspect more effective and improve its mid-range utility.

In saying that though, I don’t have an issue with new guns being introduced, the games need to have new fresh gameplay.

I wanted the BR, Assault Rifle and Carbine to return, albeit, functionality remaining the same, though updated /improved skins/models.

I don’t see the issue with most of those to be honest, Hydra just is kind of an oddity, still fun from long range as it feels like an explosive DMR but it still works. Pulse Carbine as the post itself is about, just has a very high skill curve because the Carbine is better from long-medium range than any other range due to the curve, but it needs more DPS on sheilds for it to be viable majority of the time. The Ravager, I can agree on, it is kind of weak expecially for the charged shot, because those flames do nothing. Then the Plasma pistol is the Plasma Pistol, same with Sentinel Beam. The only weapons I can see as “not working” is the Disruptor and Shockrifle, I never see the Shock Rifle unless I am in a bot game, whle the Disruptor is kind of garbage because it causes less damage than the Plasma pistol.

Although I ran into a bug on my end atleast involving hit boxes which worsens everything being where hitboxes flicker, I had to grab a friend to check it out but I found hitboxes just straight up dissappear for a few milliseconds some times, making hits not register at all even though they would hit such as an assualt rifle at close range taking up to 1 more second to kill. I have not had that issues when killing bots though so I assume it may be connectivity problems either on my end or on server end.

I disagree, the pulse carbine, even on far range, is still hard to hit people with. The burst shot is worse because it doesn’t make any sense for it to be burst to begin with. It’s kinda slow when fired and regardless of the damage, it’s only shield base damage which is hard for you to complete a challenge with it because it’s almost damn near impossible to get kills with it. No matter if you are far range, close range, hell even medium range won’t make a difference.

Probably man, like I rarely see people pick up that weapon and magically get 15 kills with it.

I mean I generally barely break 15 kills with that kind of luck in general unless its Titanfall, with the Pulse Carbine I usually get like 4 or 5 at most before I end up dying and losing it.

Me too, I think they just should’ve put more “classic” guns in the game. I was thinking when I saw the first Infinite gameplay videos what would look like the others guns with “modern” graphic and the “new” art style but there’s much fewer classic weapons than I thought will be in the “final” game.

It is meant for range, it is designed to be bad at CQB

I disagree its very powerful and easy to use midrange. If you aim off to the side in the direction someone is going it will hit them every time. Three bursts = dead, 2 for shields 1 for kill ez gun good gun

That’s an exaggeration, 2 plasma bolts to shield and 1 bolt for a finish doesn’t kill them. It takes three burst all total on the shield and you need 2 or 3 plasma shots in health or probably more than that. But besides that, it’s really useless unless those shots hit.

The Ravager must be the worst weapon in the history of gaming. Agree with your non-working weapons, except for Hydra. That worked pretty good for me so far.

It kills in 2 bursts id say that’s not that bad?

Pulse Carbine is really really weird.
On one hand, it’s an insanely good pair with the BR for ranging down enemy Shields and then quick popping with the BR.

On the other hand, it’s utterly useless in terms of hitting anything within mid range. The projectile tracks are too wonk at closer ranges, and the projectiles are too slow.

Honestly I feel like they should just bring back the Storm Rifle from Halo 5. It was the best Plasma Rifle-sort weapon in a long time.

If they wanna fix the current Pulse Carbine, they need to make the Projectiles significantly faster - as fast as Halo 2 Brute Plasma Rifle shots.

That’s what we were always asking for, bring back old weapons in a mix of new ones. I don’t mind new weapons but if it is useless, then fix it, remove it or replace it. Simple.

You can’t use it at close range, you need to use it at longer ranges or it won’t connect. It has PRETTY aggressive tracking too.

Agreed. It’s kinda close between the Carbine and Commando but atleast the Commando actually looks like it’s doing something.

The pulse carbine is completely awful. I’ve managed exactly one kill. If it wasn’t for that dumb challenge I wouldn’t even be touching it.
