When I first heard the enemy would be prometheans I thought we were gonna fight warrior-servants(live forerunner soldiers that aren’t composed into A.I).
I would like to have fought warrior servants I mean we didn’t even fight the Didact.(Im not counting the QTE)
Would you have preferred to fight the warrior servants rather than the A.I.
Fighting live Warrior-Servants would have required a huge amount of living Forerunners being left on Requiem, which with after a 100,000 years without being in something like a Cryptum, they would’ve died from old age.
I realize that but fighting them somehow would have been interesting and would awesome to see their prowess in battle first hand.
I hope we can at least fight some in future titles I just hope they all don’t have anti gravity field gizmos otherwise everybody would get stomped.
Live or robot would unlikely have changed much, though perhaps had a more likeable appearance.
Ultimately,The Prometheans are needed.I would love to see them fight flood in the future.But combined with their weapons(Binary rifle etc) and their abilities makes them a formidable foe.However,their AI really let them down,otherwise they would be a lot more dangerous.
Living forerunners after hearing The Didact’s speech at end of Halo 4,may be a possibility but i feel it would ruin the view of the Forerunners in general.
Whats more if we were accurate to the books,there is no way in hell the chief can fight them,he got tossed around by The Didact in Halo 4. He only won because of Cortana binding The Didact in hardlight preventing him from using a weapon or any abilities,and even then the chief almost died.

Not worth it to sacrifice story integrity. The Didact is an exception because we knew Forerunners had this sort of technology beforehand but just randomly having a whole planet full of living Forerunners would just be cheap.

Because of dev incompetence? Time crunch? Maybe. Because it’s absurd? Please. Don’t forget what genre of game you’re playing. There could have easily been a fun and engaging bossfight with the Didact had 343 taken the time to design the level around such an engagement and they designed it properly. Throwing out the possibility because the Didact has the Force is absent-mindedly imbecilic. Chief walked up to the dude, gave him a hug, and he tripped on a grenade and fell off a bridge, that doesn’t exactly spell “logically impossible bossfight” to me. Besides, it’s like no one here has played any games with bossfights in them before. If you’d like to see more of my research on this topic my post history is littered with facts and other tid-bits.
