IMO i think all the Promethean weapons look boring. The all look alike and have no uniqueness to them. They’re all orange and gray which is real ugly. I wish there was more colors/variety. What do you think of the new promethean weapons.
I think they look great.
Take a look at the past variety of alien halo weapons. One gun has needles coming out of it, another weapon is a glowing sword of energy. We then a gun that shoots spikes and a hammer 8 ft that interacts with gravity. Then for Halo 4 we have weapons that form themselves and are orange and gray.:l
My cell phone is orange and grey and I think it looks fine, much like the weapons. Not worried about it.

Promethean weapons shoot orange plasma that disintegrates anything it kills. That seems more interesting to me than a hammer that interacts with gravity.
Let me guess OP…someone stole your sweetrole?
Joking aside, Halo 4’s new Forerunner weapons don’t bother me too much. I like how they piece themselves together into a functional gun when you first pick them up. Reminds me the Transformers and the color scheme doesn’t really bother me none. In fact, the weapon designs are pretty cool.
Add in the disintegrating effect after you kill each target and i am sold :P.
What i find more important is not the way the gun looks so much as the competitive viability of these new weapons. Are they similar to the Reach AR in terms of putting the player at a massive disadvantage? Or will these weapons be useful no matter the playing field?
Eh, agree to disagree.

maybe its cool if one gun shoots orange balls that disintegrates anything it kills. But when all the Promethean weapons do this its nothing special.

The reason all the Forunner weapons disintegrate enemies completely is because in order to kill the Flood forms (which they were at war with), they needed to be destroyed at a subatomic level. So naturally all the Forunner in the game were aimed at combating the Flood.
Meh, everyone has an opinion about every aspect of the game. To each their own.
I’m loving the new Forerunner weapons. We haven’t seen them all yet either. The sounds from the weapons are something new and IMO cool.

I understand this but sometimes canon can be pushed aside for more varied and fun gameplay. Halo 4’s still a video game not a novel.

the weapons form themselves mid air when picked up +1 cool
finally other colors then the same blue and purple weve had for years +1
the disentigrate +1
IMO they are way more interesting then covy.

I think they look awesome IMO.
Every time I see that Scattershot form in someones hands I think “Dang, that’s awesome. Like a frikkin’ Transformer. mimics Transformer noise”
Silver/Orange is also pretty hot.
The pulse Sniper weapon is red and grey but I hear ya.
Function over form. Even if they’re supposed to be ugly, they’re supposed to do their job in disintegrating you.

One does not simply mimic the transformer noise…
Anyway, I like em.
I always loved the maps like sandbox and sandtrap, and these appear to be weapons that look perfect for those maps. I love the colour scheme, the fact that I can call them transformers and, oh yeah, they disintegrate things!

I think it shoots hardlight ammunition rather than plasma.
Other than that, I can kind of see where op is coming from. Though it’s kind of expected to have a theme like that. Something with red or orange yellow. Anyways, it’s just like the sentinels beam. It didn’t have much pazaz; its shape was interesting, yet everyone loved them. They were there to combat flood with heat weaponry. Sentinels are forerunner themed and grayish.
Curious though, hardlight can have a range of colors. Hardlight bridges are basically the same concept. Sentinel major shoots a blue pulsating beam (not hardlight).

Nobody forces you to use the Promethean weapons?
