The progression system will kill the game before it even launches

Doesn’t help that many of the challenges don’t have crossover, so even with the swapping mechanic it makes it difficult the work them efficiently. Add to that their random nature, meaning if you roll in a fireteam everyone may be needing to work on completely different things.

It’s horrible implemented at the moment, and something that if they’re not working on tuning already they had better start.

Totally agree, After my first 15 min match I got 100xp, It was immediately dissapointing and demoralising, especiclly given I performed better thasn I expected. To play for 15 mins and get only 10% of a progression step? Total game time of 90 mins now and still not level 1 and I’m pissed off now, I have no intention of playing untill it is better than this.

Worst part is that Infinite is proving that you only have to make half of your game F2P and people will still accept that excuse for MTXs.

I mean. Guess what you get rewarded for grinding things out early. Hard locked on progression until the next dang week. I’m sitting at level 55, and can only do the terrible dailies for measly rewards while I get no weeklies until five days from now.

From the good old days of reach when the amount of customisation came from your skill and challenges however now it comes from a bank card which really isn’t what i want to be taking part in and then to top off that point the armour you get, in the sparsity it comes in isn’t very mouldable and you cant really build your own image of spartan its impossible. its a simple fix though just add in levels or ranks like reach and just make armour locked behind levels and challenges instead of everything being a money grab.
This is from someone who played since the very start and can safely say after a day of playing not really vibing to it however btb is fun and being able to eventually que to the exact modes you want (flag grab, slayer, oddball etc) will be refreshing. Just feel it needs a lot of work done to the fundamentals as it doesnt feel like halo right now but more of a fornite/call of duty type system.

if you are at level 55 already then I dont think you have any say on progression to be honest.

Nobody will ever care about someone who has no life at all.

I played a lot and I am at 8? Imagine how slow progess ppl have if they play like 1 - 2 hours day.
Adjust progression etc towards someone who does not sleep or eat is not a way to go.

Challanges needs to be changed not because you are bored and cant progress, but because current implementation forces people complete idiotic stunts which are against their playstyle and that is the only issue.

I agree with this, adding some extra EXP points based on medals/points earned could be an interesting way to feel like you’ve earned something after a well-played match.

Much like I posted on another thread, 343i should have taken insperation from Halo Reach’s progression system and adapted that into Infinite. So match completion, performance, and jack pot should all be there. WIth the additions of game streak and possible party bonuses. Commendations should also be in Infinite with the option to customize your file share profile with your favorite milestones that you’ve completed. Instead of credits we recieve EXP. Once you’ve reached a certain level within the Commendations reward the grind with some Credits.

Log in bonuses or mach played bonuses that give increasing amouts of exp/credits will keep ppl coming back. And when it comes to the battle pass, they should stop being lazy and create more unique armors instead of monitizing Reach armors again!

We should have default armors that we can unlock through in-game progression and the option to choose colors and edit emblems like in Reach and H3.

WIth the amount of time 343i had and with both H3 and Reach for them to reference its truly a spit in the face to recieve this poor excuse of a game in terms of its content and features.

Challenges not working is a big issue too.
I’ve currently got open challenges to obtain kills with the Mangler and another for the Heatwave - easy right?

Well it would be if the game actually registered my kills with those weapons. I’ve had load of Mangler kills and Heatwave kills but the challenges remain open…

Couldn’t agree more. Hope they fix this soon. It feels so unrewarding to play currently.

I have the same exact issue, maybe I will raise a support ticket.

It seems my Heatwave one did eventually clear but the Mangler ones are still there.

It really is, and this ain’t good… at all… people are activally paying for not just the store items, but the BP. Halo is dead at Infinite, and any further games will just be for more money since now Microsoft know that they don’t have to try with Halo anymore to get money… the only saving grace is the campaign. Though even i’m iffy about that

I will add here the same I posted in the other thread:

I have to say that even with the changes in the XP, it seems extremely slow and bad to progress. The game feels great, but progress is terrible and the updated version looks also very bad.
Why not add 2 daily challenges:
1 - Win 10 matches - 250xp
2 - Win 5 matches in a row - 250xp

And 1 objective per match:
1 - Win the match - 25xp

This would make people REALLY try to win the match, while also trying to achieve their own objectives:
The objective of 10 matches takes a lot of time and people need to do other things in their lives (so it’s a hard objective), and winning 5 matches one after the other is very hard, so maybe focusing on other objectives could be better, but not without trying to win the match as soon as possible.

No offense to the guy but if he thought it was a good idea, he should probably be moved to a less integral part of the team. Maybe coffee jockey :thinking::thinking::thinking:

This is my problem currently. I have three challenges stuck which I can’t complete because they’re too specific or hard. I don’t know where to find a ravager or a Shade Turret. And I surely can’t kill 10 people with a Gravity Hammer.

Meanwhile, I have much better challenges stuck in Upcoming, like 30 kills with the BR or completing 2 Big Team Battles. But I can’t complete them because I can’t get these out of the way.

Why are not all weekly challenges active, so we could complete them in any order?

I play a match that lasts 25 MIN:UTES - DOUBLE DIGIT KILLS - MULTIPLE MEDALS AND …
I get 50 EXP? WTF is that?

I have to assume this is a bug . I mean how could it not be. The absolute absurdity of it to think this is how it is supposed to be is too far from reality to grasp by human minds
