343, I’m begging you, please change this for the better in the full game. Don’t reward us for just doing (mostly basic) challenges, reward us for our overall performance in games.
I know there have been several similar threads to this, but I just have to spread this complaint. Please change this to an actual fun and satisfying XP system in the full game.

The current XP system is satisfying to no ends of any kind. A couple hours of gameplay and no levels later, I can only sit and wonder why I went neutral during the initial mention of a challenge-only system…

Yep. I think the way mcc did it was best. Games give xp, medals give bonus xp

I’ll toast to that! I found myself focusing more on getting my challenge kills than actually winning the match :s

Same. Instead of trying to capture the objective or something, I’m running around trying to find the one gun I need to be able to advance. And then I get it and just die anyway because I’m not good with that one weapon. The challenges just seem to encourage bad play.
