The problem with JIP

I have been playing Halo 5: Guardians since his launch, and I have really enjoyed the game. However, I found a very annoying problem with the multiplayer.
The JIP (Join In Progress) in Halo 5: Guardians could be a good feature. But, sadly, the JIP never put you on a winning team or an neutral match.

Actually, sometimes I have been put on already lost matches, with no possibilities of winning:

That’s probably because its less likely to have an open spot on a winning team…its not a problem with the system, that’s just how the cookie crumbles. haha

The JIP in this game is pretty awful and needs some serious work. The other day I joined a Warzone Assault game where it ended before I could even spawn in. That’s just one example of numerous unwinnable games that I’ve joined in the past.

Just take you free reqs Jip is needed in social

Is still a problem. The match “lost” count on your profile.

The problem lies with the little children who quit because their team is losing 60 seconds into the game, not JIP.

JIP is only in social game modes.

There is no problem with JIP. It doesn’t matter if you lose a game bc of JIP bc W/L doesn’t matter in social modes.

Unless your one of those people that think W/L and K/d matter

There is a problem with JIP when you join games that end in less than a minute. Sometimes in less than 30 seconds.

For you other point, while there is truth to that, it’s not fun for me and I’m sure many others of being put in games where there isn’t really any chance of winning. It’s basically a waste of time and you can’t quit or you risk getting banned which is hilarious considering it’s a social game mode with JIP enabled.

It’s still a problem. In social games modes, people want to have fun. However, that fun is erased when they are put on already lost matches.

"But I don’t care for that, the next time I should probably put on an normal match."
Well, maybe you don’t care, but other people actually do. (I am trying to not sound aggressive, english is not my birth language)

I have only ever been put in one match in progress, it was early on in the game (close scores around mid 200 mark), I spawned with req energy at level 5 and my team won

I feel like JIP is better than forcing the people remaining in the game to deal with being one short. (or in severe cases, multiple, or all but one remaining) I once had a situation in Invasion in Reach where I was all on my own and getting spawn-trapped.

After that, I’ll always advocate for JIP in modes where it does not have a competitive detriment (anything but ranked). That is my opinion, though. I can relate and respect your own opinion (It gets annoying for me at times as well) but I respectfully disagree.
