Alright, we all have our problems with Halo 5 multiplayer, but there is one issue we can all agree needs some tweaks. AFK, in this situation, AFC (Away From Controller) but lets stay focused. We have ALL raged at Halo before because we get kicked from a game for being AFK for too long (which according to Halo is about one minute) because we have to go do something real quick like use the restroom or something like that. In this situation, there are two things you can do. One is just wiggle the left thumbstick a bit so your character moves a bit and you don’t get kicked. Two is just accept the fact you might get kicked and just deal with it, but we can all agree this issue is a bigger problem within Halo than just having two ways to handle it. The other problem with being AFK is the fact that there are people out there that will go AFK and just sit there with a RP boost, wiggle the left thumbstick around, and still end up getting like, 2000 REQ points. I have an idea on how to solve this, and I wanted to see how other people feel about this idea.
Here is what I think would work well. If a player goes AFK more than two times (say they wiggle the thumbstick twice) then they get kicked from the game for AFK farming while the rest of their team grinds. Otherwise, the AFK kick time should be extended by five minutes. What do you guys think about this idea? Please let me know.
Hmm… Games other than Warzone are typically have a time limit of 12 minutes. You are saying someone should be able to be AFK for 5 minutes before being kicked. You are essentially saying that someone should be able to be AFK without being kicked for almost half of a game. I don’t believe that’s a good idea. Where the kick timer is at now is fine.
Also, I believe the kick timer is set at somewhere around 2 or 3 minutes.

Ok, thanks. How do you feel about the cap on the amount of times you can wiggle the thumbstick to not get kicked?
The afk kicking system is actually pretty good when it comes to kicking AFKs. It can also detect if it’s a “turbo’d” controller and not a human by recognizing input patterns. I’ve tried the whole wiggle thing and it doesn’t really work. The game knows you’re afk. As for how long, It shouldn’t get any slower. Why should I have to carry the guy the guy who’s on the phone the whole match. Get him out and replace him with a teammate that’s actually ready to play and committed to the match.
