The Price of 60fps(thoughts?)

What do you think about the texture popping or random dullness in the game? Take a look at this video to understand what I’m talking about if you haven’t got the chance to play the game.

I personally would have preferred 30 fps with amazing detail. 30 fps really isn’t that bad.

“30fps REALLY isn’t that bad”

Yeah; until you’ve played a series at 60. Like MCC, try going back and playing the original titles. 30 feels sluggish as hell.

I can never go back to 30fps again after been playing Gears: Ultimate Edition and Halo 5.

When trying Gears of War and Halo titles on Xbox 360 my Eyes get -Yoink!-. Just saying.

That’s not a fair comparison, because if you play the old titles, you’re also playing at a very low resolution.

Yea after being on PC for the last 4 years and coming back to Xbone just for this title (played MCC first) the 60 fps tradeoff really sucks -Yoink-. I really hope they can do something about it. I know the hard limitations are there but… man. Those jackals at 200 yards looking like H2 on the Xbox. lol.

Gears of War Ultimate’s campaign is actually at 30 fps. But they fooled you didn’t they? I didn’t even notice at first, either. Don’t worry.

Honestly it just makes me upset that Microsoft went cheap on the Xbox One hardware and shoved Kinect down our throats rather than focus on their core audience and those games’ needs. Microsoft seriously hamstrung their studios by making a slightly upgraded Xbox 360 as the hardware base for the One.

Hopefully 343 can pull something off with Cloudgine next time and squeeze more resources out of the already limited hardware. They honestly did the best they could with Halo 5

I agree, that they honestly did their best. It’s a shame that we have these limitations…

I would be 100% satisfied with all the graphical sacrifices to reach 60fps BUT, I can’t stand playing at low resolution. 1920x1080 is barely clear enough, and this dynamic resolution garbage is horrible. It seems to be becoming a trend unfortunately.

I wish the Xbox One were a little less potato so that we could have a decent resolution AND acceptable framerate. You guys know how it feels playing a 30fps game after you’re used to 60? Well, try gaming at 3840x2160 and going back to 1080p or even 1150x810 or whatever Halo hovers at…
