Im glad to see so many buying the game. We can only hope the player base doesnt fall off the earth shortly after release like reach.
Halo did just start advertising, so there’s a pretty good chance it could beat out BO2.
I usually don’t care how many preorders Halo has, but dang it would be great to knock Call of Duty off the throne…
Black ops will win because COD always gets around 2.5 million the week before it comes out. MW3 had almost a 400,000 change in the week before it released.

Well… if you look at it this way… Then yes Halo is gaining.
Black Ops 2 had 1,000,000 preorders last week.
Halo 4 had 850,000 preorders last week. Now at 1 million.
And look at the weekly change. Halo seems to be making a serious comeback now, due to everyone knowing about Halo 4 now since the Marketing kicked in.
Very big who cares. Game sales mean nothing next to game quality, and I haven’t come across a Call of Duty game that’s at the same level of quality as any game in the Halo series.
For me, it’s not simply about just call of duty versus halo. It’s about halo, having the lead. Because I enjoy seeing halo be #1 in good charts.

Don’t forget though that COD has one more week than H4 to get more pre orders. COD will end up winning this contest( not like it means anything)

This maybe true, but don’t forget that Call of duty is also on the PS3 and PC. Whereas Halo is only on the Xbox.
Forgetting 1 little details:
Halo is on 1 console, CoD is on 3.
That means, by that ratio (and I speak theoretically) Halo 4 would have a little less than 3 times as much as BLOPS 2 in pre-orders if it were an even match

A sad day indeed when true gamers consider this valuable. But ever since it’s gain to fame with CoD4, Halo vs CoD has always been dominate. So Halo 4 is closing in in terms of preorders, CoD still has an extra month left and is already breaking sales, it’ll still likely beat Halo 4. But who cares. Seriously?
Trying to prove something in terms of sales? Like as if sale quantity > actual gameplay? BO1 still holds the record of the best selling CoD game to date but as a former CoD addict, that doesnt mean it was better. Hell, I still play Reach and that was greatly oustold by BO that year and I havent touched BO since MW3 came out. Which leads to the series’ own folly. Just like Apple products, they are almost immediately obsolete by next year’s model. But at the same time, Halo isn’t perfect either.
The only people who take this to heart are fanboys. And fanboy flame wars are the reason why I’m ashamed to be a gamer.
