In the most recent halo bulletin there is a screenshot of the new Prefect armor. There is something I’d like to point out about its colors, but first lets take a look at the existing armors.
As we all know, the upper part of the undersuit on Halo 4’s armor is no longer entirely black. (It would be the best halo armor hands down if it was)
Instead, the upper torso and upper arms take on your primary color.
In the picture of the Prefect armor, you can clearly see that the primary color is steel, and the secondary is white/silver. Normally the upper arms should be the same as the primary color, in this case steel. But in the picture the upper arms are clearly the secondary color, white\silver. I highly doubt that the lighting is making steel look almost white.
Does this mean that the Prefect armor chest piece alters the color configuration of the undersuit? Is the undersuit’s primary\secondary swap just for this armor? Or are we finally getting a custom option to change the undersuit color ourselves?
…head explodes your right! at first i thought, oh it’s the lighting, but you can quite clearly see around the groin that its white, and if you look next to the shoulder without the emblem one, you can actually see where the white starts and the black ends, so you might be onto something there! if it does re-order the pattern i can see a few people using the prefect armor for it.
I know right!? If we have our secondary color as steel it’ll be like having an all black undersuit! And if we can change the undersuit color seperately that’ll be even better!

I don’t think that we’ll see that as much as i’d like to, but heck, at least this will allow me to wear something like red primary and steel secondary for my under-suit, not perfect, but closer.
I love the Prefect armor mostly because of its lore. I love armor that has a story behind it, I’ll be wearing it with all silver coloring and a blue or gold visor. I love playing Reach and being able to make yourself any character you chose. I also wish that Halo 4’s Spartan Ops was like Halo Spartan Assault, the missions just seem more detailed and fill in the gaps for those who didn’t understand why we were fighting elites again. It also felt more, dare I say it… Halo, it’s the music and enemy design and vehicles that made it seem so.
Looking at that armor makes me realize how much I miss the low poly armor models. They look great, and should be what the armor in future Halos are like.
As for the armor, I hope that the undersuit color toggle becomes available. I say toggle because I believe it would be best to have it something along the lines of:
Undersuit Color ::: [ Default ] or Primary Color
This way, the armor combos don’t start looking like tricolor messes with bad color combinations.

I’ll be using like this: full prefect in silver with a cyan/aqua secondary, and a pioneer visor, classic silver forerunner with the light blue hardlight lines and such.

Agreed, I just wish there were more moments in Spartan ops where you get to see your Spartan in cut scenes.

You could do that for Classic Forerunner, or go Didact-style and do the Silver primary, with an Orange or Gold secondary and the Legendary visor. However I do like the idea of Hardlight lines…

That is an ugly -Yoink- Forerunner But I see where your inspiration comes from…
