It would be interesting if the test came in the form of something other than the Flood. Maybe the Precursors have been watching us and will send something that exposes our weaknesses more than the Flood does. The Flood was the Forerunners’ test, ??? Is Humanity’s test.

Would be interesting if Precursors returned and judged us unworthy of the Mantle and the Flood met up with them, as they are Precursors as well and were the ultimate enemy.
The Forerunners were never to attain the Mantle. Humanity was to be tested next.

I did read the books, and there were some parts of it that made me believe there is more Precursors out there.

He uses the word “our” alot. And the second one has “our” and is in present tense.
The flood still views itself as the precursors.
The precursor which looked a lot like a gravemind when the IsoDidact met him even said there was no difference.
The gravemind/keymind in silentium didn’t really talk about precursors as a past entity either.
Well, the Flood are basically the new evolution of Precursors, I think, but if the form before the Flood are still out there, hopefully they would have something new and creative to use.

Wasn’t it mentioned in another thread that Precursors change forms? It would be interesting if they came back in a different form
Or the Flood will mutate into something new, course it being the product of a defect itself means anything could really happen.

Is the next test Humanity’s second test? Or was the last one a test on for the Forerunner. Or was it revenge on the Forerunners for what they did?
Let’s just say next test is Humanity’s test. Primordial has said that Humanity is not to be tested. The last one was a vengeance, on Primordial’s part.
It would be awesome if, in Halo 5, we discover a Primoridal like the Ancient Humans did. Eh? Anyone?
Also, I’m still kind of hoping that the test comes in a form other than the Flood. It’s not that I’m necessarily opposed to the very idea, but I do hope that 343i can be a little bit more… creative.
