The Precursors and The Flood

Warning: There will spoilers about Silentium, and other, in this thread.

So from what I understand. The Precursors might still be alive, some Forerunners might still be alive, The Flood favored and spared Humanity in the Human-Forerunner War, and The Flood were created by The Precursors.

The Forerunners fought back against The Precursors, because the latter deemed the former that they won’t inherit The Mantle. The Precursors fought back, but not to their fullest. Precursors favored Humanity and intended them to inherit The Mantle. Some Precursors survived, created The Flood, Flood attacked Humanity at the start, Foreunners responded by attacking Humanity (didn’t realize The Flood caused Humanity to invade them), Flood lets Humanity survive, Flood leaves, Forerunners beat Humanity, out of corrupted politics Forerunner de-evolve Humans, and some peacetime follows.

Flood comes back and drops The Mother Of All Mind F***s on the UrDidact, Librarian learns of Precursor-Forerunner War, Flood Noms on the majority of the galaxy. Master Builder is still greedy and gets most of The Forerunner Fleet, protecting their captial planet, killed so he can fill his pockets with money, and Flood kicks Foreunners @$$ back to The Greater Ark.

Please discuss and fill in where ever you want.

Sorry for both the Misleading-ish title and for bypassing the word filter.

“Flood noms on majority of the galaxy”

Favorite sentence right there.

Agreed.

Flood noms on the majority of the galaxy should be a new Halo Waypoint meme lol.

Also, I’d just like to point out, the Ur-Didact in Halo 4 said “Your ascendence may yet be prevented…”

Makes me think humanity will be tested some time in the future.

Sort of been known since Primordium.

What interests me is where Chant to Green and the Isodidact who reformed humanity went! Did they flee to another part of the galaxy and restart forerunner civilization? Or did they leave our galaxy altogether?
I’m gonna feature a guess that both will appear in halo 5 &6 along with the precursors and the flood. All are far to important to be ignored!

They could have departed to Path Kethona, or the Turantula Galaxy. Also, what about Endurance? (The female Promethean that the Librarian meet with on Requiem.)

I kinda thought that was to screw with the Didact. Guess I’m wrong :stuck_out_tongue:

But now I’m even MORE excited for new Halo games!

I hope we see the star roads in the next Halo game, yet at the same time don’t.

As soon as I read that I thought “Well that escalated quickly”

Any other thoughts about the Precursors or Flood showing up in the next game? I mean that as a speculation, not a confirmation.

I’m not sure whether Halo 5 will have flood, but I’m very confident at the moment that the final Halo game on this ark will be one crazy, epic Flood battle.

They spent waaaay too much time between Halo 4 & Spartan Ops, as well as the books building up Jul’s faction and opening the door for still-existing Forerunners for me to believe that Halo 5 will be anything beyond continuing the current conflicts Covenant species, humans, and forerunners (in some combination, which I keep re-arranging in my mind weekly).
They are painting something dark for intra-humanity conflict, but I don’t know whether it will be full-on missions against separatists or just a cutscence around ONI.

I don’t think humanity, alone or in a complete alliance with covenant, is ready for a full-on Flood war. We have a lot of story to go still.

I feel we will see the flood in halo 5

Maybe I will sit on the fence and say maybe we will see The Flood in Halo 5.

BUT

It won’t be the Precursor Flood that we know it will be the Human Flood. This will escape from ONI science labs, be brought to Earth after recovery of The Mona Lisa and Red Horse from besides Installation 04.

And they will all be a type of pure form and spawn more when killed. Meaning only Forerunner weapons will work against them and only then by complete disintegration. Maybe a flamethrower for a new weapon.

are you being serious?

> are you being serious?

Yeah, dreaming of great battles ahead.

Maybe won’t happen exactly as I have proposed. It’s just ideas.
