Does anybody in the Halo 3 Community think that we should have the ‘Bungie Armor’ (Flaming Armor)?
I think it would be better if 343i made something new. If Bungie related armor does become obtainable in Halo 4 it should be hard to earn for its originality.

I’d say hard as in a 50 in every playlist and a KD above 1.5?

PS: Would love to see 343 come up with something new for H4 and not waste time on H3.

Go play Juggernaut or Team Hotshot.
The flaming helmet is cool for the uber-fan but in terms of gameplay, it’s a Target Beacon that says “HERE I AM!”. Covering your entire body in flames would be rather…flame-inducing?
Either way, Bungie = No Mo’ Ha’Lo. So if anything, it’d be a 343i product and all forbid it’s the ridiculous GRD crap.

I remember Stosh or urk saying that giving everyone Bungie armor can cause server problems or something like that. Can anyone confirm or clear that up with the link to his post? I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that’s what they said.
If we’re getting recon, then we should have flaming helmets, bungie nameplate, and name plates.

Yes and no. Urk said that in context to Bungie Day. I guess unlocking armour pieces for everyone in Halo 3 is more troublesome than in Halo: Reach. I reckon that’s why Recon will be unlocked “in waves”. Just my $0.02 =)
Anyway, 343i should have access to Bungie Armour because it’s on the Halo 3 disc. It will remain seen whether they actually do anything with it (IMO it would be smarter to super unlock Bungie Armour for everyone, rather than Recon).

The H3 achievements were easy as hell…
yeah, but if youre like me and thousands of other players, and you didnt get the map pack specific achievements when the maps came out, youre SOL. theyre near impossible to get now =\ believe me, i tried.

The only reason we got it on Bungie day was because they ran a custom code to unlock it for everyone, forcing the Bungie Nameplate on everyone even if they didn’t wear the Bungie chest.
Also, the Bungie chest/flaming helmet doesn’t cause server problems, it causes FPS drops in-game due to the nature of fire in Halo 3.
I personaly feel that if they do they should only reward loyal fans. Like if you played 500+ games of Halo 2,3 and reach online you get a full set of “employe armor” and only certain pieces if you havent played the full set.
