The Power to Veto

Players should be allowed to veto suggesting maps similar to halo 3 matchmaking when players were given options to choose what map to play on

While it was nice I don’t think it is necessary right now. There aren’t enough maps in most playlists to make it a worthwhile change. It also gives them data about their maps on a more consistent interval.

If the maps rotate well enough there is no need to veto, there are always players that never get their favourite maps in the vote or veto, I remember seeing my favourite maps getting passed by all the time, at least his way I know I’ll see them.

If there were more map rotation, correct… Really no need to veto.

I dislike veto systems, but the map rotation can be terrible at times.

It can be really bad at times, but sometimes you get a good selection, my pet hate is back to back maps, getting two on the hop is annoying.

They really do need a veto option since this game loves to give you the same map and or gametype game after game after game.

One time I got 5 Escape from ARC matches in a row, same for Battle of Noctus.

Then in Breakout i got 6 games of Crossfire in a row…

It just generally hates me.

On that note, I would love a voting/vetoing system.

Maybe once the Map count is a little bit higher then they will add this feature in with an update.

The matchmaking in Halo 5 really needs to have a one-time veto option (similar to Halo 3) added to it because the lobbies reset after every match so it’s impossible for players to properly cycle through the maps and/or gametypes rotation that a particular lobby follows. While I hope most understand that a one-time veto system won’t cure the potential for players to end-up in a gametype and map that they just previously played, it should nonetheless help lessen it and that’s reason enough to advocate for its’ inclusion into Halo 5.

Soon we will need more maps, and we will need a veto button to mash…

Yes veto please i don’t like most maps.

Voting & Vetoing would be way to counter productive in H5G since all the maps are mundane and it would likely encourage more preemptive drop out before matches start since players would actually think that they could control which maps they play on.
The real solution would be to fix the map rotations since they seem to be like a broken record and keep spitting out the same few maps over and over.

I made a thread about this awhile back and everyone disagreed with me… I cant understand why.

Veto system is a must…

Veto and Voting creates an endless cycle of playing on only a few maps in most games. It reduces most games to a hellish monotony that only a few warped individuals enjoy at everyone’s expense.
