The possibilities of custom-colored techsuits.

So, I know there are already a number of threads discussing the want for black undersuits, but I think we should take it a step further and pen it up to having undersuits be colored separately from the rest of the armor.

  • It would allow more customization. More customization = More possibilities, more possibility = more appearance diversity. - People who want black undersuits can just set their undersuit color to black. Problem solved. - It can act like Halo 3’s detail color. Example, lets say I set my undersuit color to green, and I’m put on red team. While mt armor changed to accommodate the red spartan forces, my undersuit stays green. The only issue that could possibly come up is someone with a blue undersuit on the res team, or vise-versa. It would make no more difference than if they had a blue weapon skin. It’s noticeable, yes, but it certainly won’t trick blue team into thinking that he/she is an ally. - Makes armor pop more. Despite frequent criticism, a lot of Halo 5’s armor variants are pretty cool, however, much of the “personality” of each armor set is lost in the blob of red, many torso and shoulder pieces appearing similar or even identical because they don’t have a distinct appearance. Many armor would be more identifiable if we could actually make out the edged on their shoulders and torsos. So, I think we should have a choice of our armor color, secondary color, and undersuit color. I would like to see and actual detail color, like in the areas where the armor automatically has black or white patterns, sort of like how Palmers armor would be Silver Primary, Silver Secondary, Black undersuit, and red detail, but that’s very unlikely.

There are plenty of options as it is. I keep thinking bloat when I hear more options.

No there isn’t. Helmet, Suit, and Visor is not “plenty”, not compared to Halo 3’s customization. The only difference is that Halo 5 has more reskinned armors. That is why it’s bloated.

Yeah about just making the undersuits black. No need to make so they can be colored which would look way more ridiculous then it already is.

  1. Excellent point, agreed.
  2. Pepper is not black, just dark gray in any kind of light. It’d need to be darker to be true black.
  3. Why not.
  4. Agreed. Custom undersuits allows the opportunity to add contrast in a couple of different forms to help armor pop.

It would need to be divided into Undersuit Primary and Secondary since both affect the undersuit color.
