If you understand statistics you would know that 19000 people is quite a large sample size and results are unlikely to change greatly if more people participated. Watch an election and once their through like 10% of the vote for a seat you can guess probably within 5-10% of their final percentage of the candidates vote for that seat. Anyway even if you polled everyone that played it may come up that 15% want no sprint so what is it really that different?
For example TV ratings in Australia are done off only a couple thousand people in each city with the TV companies knowing that the stats won’t change much if they survey more people
The survey backs up IGN’s stats which showed that just 13% didn’t think Halo 5 felt like halo and 50% felt that it was “amazing”
And for the people that claim that “EVERYONE ON WAYPOINT HATES SPRINT I SEE THOSE THREADS ALL THE TIME” just remember the waypoint forums are an even smaller section of the community full of people with giant chips on their shoulders who make a very vocal minority
It is not valid because it did not draw people from every aspect of the community. They only polled hardcore fans and targeted areas that are predominately pro 343.
It’s as if they conducted a poll on who the greatest baseball team of all times is, but only polled california. I don’t care how believable you make it sound, you’re not going to convince me the dodgers are the greatest team of all time.

Sure maybe there could have been more casuals but then the percentage of people who want no sprint would have been even lower

That’s an assumption.
Halo Reach and H4 MP failed miserably at retaining the casual gamer.

So you think that there would have been enough of a swing with more casual players to dramatically effect the result even though casual players have traditionally been angled towards features like sprint?

Bull -Yoink-. The poll was linked to on every known halo site on the internet about. Especially all the highly competitive sites (where most of the No sprint polls take place)
the HCFP Was Opened to Member of the halo community IN both the Unites States of America as well as Europe The two largest populations in the halo community. Of those two regions 19,000 users joined the HCFP, Of those users 10,000 Answered the email, and participated in the survey. This wasn’t some closed poll. The only limit is the other regions were limited due to legal limits.

This is the truth, not everyone who likes sprint goes on to a poll just to say they like it, but a lot of people who don’t like it MOST CERTAINLY go out and search for it.
