I’m not sure about Halo wiki but on Wikipedia, only the author can change the information.

That info is pretty legit; mostly all in the Forerunner saga books.
May I point you in the direction of Primordium? It actually flat out says that the Precursors/Flood will return “in a thouand centuries to test humanity again” prime for Halo 4.Not to say the Forerunners won’t be involved, but that’s just what was said.

I never really read any Halo books, so should I read Primordium? Or should I read all the older ones first?

It wouldn’t make sense for the Forerunner’s to come back to kill us, they kinda stopped that whole thing after they realized what they had done.
If the forerunners do return (which I believe they will…), it’s probably because they’ve been preparing for this very day and will be helping us.
