Look I love this game but this has been a problem right from release.
I mean is it just me or was Bungie MUCH MORE aggressive as far as giving us a boat load of playlists to choose from when they released their games? I mean I thought having plenty of options was always a good thing no?
I mean when Halo 4 was released the selection was really lacking compared to what we had in the past. To me this has been one of the subtle but huge problems on why the numbers for multiplayer have been disappointing with this game.
I mean I still do not understand this philosophy of swapping out playlists and rotational playlists, etc… doesn’t make sense to me. I think Frankie gave an explanation but I can’t remember what he said. All I know is that I didn’t buy what he was saying at all. Something about truncating or keeping the playlists cleaner and easier to find. Like I said makes no sense. I remember hearing him say this prior to release and right off the bat it was a red flag for me.
…and not only that they have mismanaged the playlists IMO and they are not well organized. For example why have one playlist strictly for oddball. Oddball should pop up in general playlists like FFA (Rumble Pit) and multi-team like in Halo 3 (By the way I’m hopeful you guys soon realize that we are severely missing multi-team).
If 343 really wants to get a better idea of how playlists were organized they should start with Halo 3. My goodness that game just did a lot of things right as far as playlist manangement goes. Halo 3 playlists were plentiful AND organized.
