Not only did 343 remove the emp effect (now there’s no reason to pick it up in BTB) but the tracking has been severely nerfed to the point that it’s only useful as a one hit melee kill by having it charged behind a corner waiting for an enemy.
Try the plasma pistol’s weapon drills and see for yourself how usless it is, 343 should tweak it to be what it was in halo 5, otherwise, i see no point in having it in the game regardless of it being a staple of the series.
I managed to get 3 Stars with it in the Weapon Drill, don’t know how but oh boy this has to be the worst Plasma Pistol to exist out of its predecessors
Honestly sad what has become of the plasma pistol. Absolutely neutered for the sake of shock weapons that absolutely ruin vehicle combat in this game
The gun is straight up pointless and shouldn’t be in the game, they did a full 180 from Halo 5 to Infinite. I find myself playing a couple of matches before hoping back onto the MCC or Halo 5
Weapon is and always has been disgusting and that “tactic” has always been disgusting.
IMO that is a single player weapon or co-op etc.
Has no place in multiplayer along with the needler…basically auto pistol from titanfall.
Remove them both from multiplayer altogether.
