An in-game model was found, and used on Warzone Firefight. The weapon doesn’t appear to be finished, as there are no first person animations, and no reticle. Hopefully added into the game fully in the near future 343?

I want to say it is just left over code that has surfaced with the new update, but I would also like to believe it is very possible it may be coming XD
I thought the Plasma Caster was 343’s take on the Plasma Launcher, either way it’s cool they’ve been experimenting with so many weapons from the older Halo games.
they added a new tier of grunts (just read patch notes) and perhaps the new tier has a weapon that was meant for future req drops
I want to agree with leftover code, but the in-game model looks up to date, not a re-used Halo: Reach model. Maybe it just didn’t make the cut? I’ll just cross my fingers for it to be added in.
Wow hopefully theyll bring it out! I did quite like that design!
I hope so… I was so disappointed that our needle rifle is a carbine reskin but would love to see them add the plasma launcher. That was such a fun weapon to use.

It seems they’ve been revisiting old weapon designs a bit more frequently with each REQ drop.

The Falcon isn’t a huge concern to me, the Plasma Launcher is what’s making me curious because it’s actually right there in the game already. I’m not demanding it, I’m just curious as to if it is coming or not.

I just finished a round of wzff and guess what? I picked up a plasma launcher! I didn’t even see it on the ground, wanted to pick up a fuel rod but a mate was faster. The strange thing is, it hasnt a model if you hold it, the shots have no sound and the explosions neither. Maybe 343 just hadn’t time to finish it? What do you think?

It IS, but it doesn’t appear to be finished. It has a 3D in-game model which might be the only aspect of the gun that is finished, but holding it in first person doesn’t show the weapon on screen because there are no first person animations for it at all, and there is no reticle. Also, the exploding bolts that it shoots appear to be very low-res.
