The Pit coming back is AWESOME news!
I love the new look, for once a halo 4 map that isn’t shiny.
Am I the only person that really didn’t care that much about The Pit?
Now if we could only get Guardian back…

Well, it is one of the best H3 maps, and it’s better than nothing.

The Pit was a great map, but mostly for competitive gameplay. That’s probably why it may not have stuck out for many of us (me included) who aren’t MLG/pros. It was still a fun map, though.
I’m now crossing fingers for Sandtrap, Guardian, Narrows or Waterwork remakes in Halo 5!
Nice! The Pit definitely deserved a remake. Many good memories playing on that map.

Yeah Guardian and maybe Last Resort too!
Not only does The Pit return, but this confirms that they can add new armor to the game! This means they can bring back CQB, ODST, and Mark V… maybe they’ll even bring them back with this new DLC; the Armor Pack mentions “Legendary armor sets” but doesn’t say what they are, exactly… and the only screenshots are of that new sports-themed armor set that comes with a different pack…

They ARE bringing back Mark V and ODST

What do you mean?
There are plenty of maps that aren’t shiny in halo 4. The whole Crimson Map pack, Overgroth, Afrift, Abandon and more.
The Pit looks like it has taken the Wreckage appearance of old and worn out.
I don’t care too much. It’s an alright map. Not my favorite, but definitely better than a lot of maps in Halo 4. Now if they could bring back some decent Big Team maps, I would be happy. I can only think of a few maps I like in Big Team.

If it was returning in a Halo game that had no AA’s or sprint I would be thrilled. But with all those factors I’m pretty sure it’s not going to play anything remotely close to how the pit plays in it’s true form in halo 3.

I know what you mean. I would love to see Sandtrap come back and with more areas added to the map, but the DMR and AA’s would screw that up in so many ways.
Like I’ve always figured… they can introduce new Armor with DLC whenever they please. In all honesty though, this DLC should be free to try and bring back some of the fan base. I always have contested since the Crimson mishap that they needed to give something back. This would be a great opportunity. I’m guessing no achievements with this DLC since they don’t mention it. With DMR’s I’m not sure the Pit will play all that well.
