The Phaeton isn't all we get, is it?

I mean the Covenant already comes up short compared to the UNSC, but the difference between the two factions (not counting the Warthog variants) is still 4 to 3 whereas if the Phaeton is the only Promethean vehicle then the Promethean’s would be outclassed by the UNSC and Covenant. They are already outnumbered in weapons, lets not make that true for vehicles too.

I was wondering that too. Is the Phaeton going to be the only new driveable addition to the vehicle roster? I am afraid it might well be, due to the Phaeton being the sole Promethean addition to the toys line.

It does certainly appear to be the case…

Who honestly cares whether the Promethean have Vehicles? I mean seriously, they’re Ancient Constructs built for war and defense as it is. I’m sure that’s not the only Promethean Vehicle we’ll see before the end. Besides the fact that we can’t use them anyways, so why does this really matter? All people do is waste time asking senseless questions and talking about craps that doesn’t even matter. Sorry but it’s the truth, These forums have came a long way from the Cesspools they were, but it’s still a Swamp.

“Apparently there will be many new vehicles,” said a forumer. I ask for a link, and I don’t get one. So I guess we’ll have to wait and see. If we do get more Promethean vehicles, I hope they have a little more detail to them. I don’t want a list of eyesores that are just bright orange and gray metal. Put some light or dark values in there please.

Last I checked all Forerunner tech was Bright Light and Grey Metal lol.

According to KiKi wolfkill and Frank O’conner they said that the Phaeton is one of the new vehicles. It was During an interview (which you can see on Halo Channel)

I know that this is speculative mumbo jumbo but I am thinking at least TECHNICALLY it sounds like it’s more than just the Phaeton. It may be restricted to campaign only though. But I have a feeling that cut-down wraith may be one of the new vehicles. (as people didn’t seem to be interested in the wraith v2 could just be a new vehicle all together)

Right, but that’s why I at least want some more values added to the color scheme. Some of the new Prometheans have darker color. The lancer in h4 had those hard light stalagmites on its back, all in all, I just want them to make it look interesting and diverse. Not just simple gray orange with the same color tone, for the majority of forunner things in h4.

It doesn’t matter? No vehicles for the Prometheans made them a bore to fight in Halo 4. Playing all the Halo games on legendary at the moment and I am having so much fun with 1-3, partly due to the huge scale which is due to vehicles for the most part. If the Prometheans are going to take center stage in Halo 5, they better have a lot more vehicle diversity.

Unless you’d rather unload on knights again for the entirety of the campaign.

Really? They add something new, and the first thing you do is ask is there more? You’re just like my 3 year old when he gets a cookie.
That being said, they claimed that there were multiple versions of different vehicles, as well as plenty of additional vehicles. I’m sure they will add more, but seriously, just let them make the announcements already. Jeez.

saying there will be more vehicles isn’t that big of an announcement, clarifying there will be more vehicles isn’t announcing anything, just making things more concrete. after all from previous 343 endeavours we have seen a more stripped down approach with vehicles. vehicles make up a decent portion of certain peoples experience, i felt very flat when there were no air vehicles or returning vehicles like revenant, chopper, hornet or falcon. i understand not wanting to add too many vehicles, but why remove certain things that had such high praise and criticism from the people playing your game often? Though i’m sure that stuff will be cleared up at SDCC. hopefully the kestrel is cool.

I’m interested less in vehicle additions and more a retweaking of all the vehicles. I have tried to mostly avoid vehicles the past few games because they are giant deathtraps. Spartan lasers, homing rockets, paper thin defenses that can be brought down with dmr fire, plasma pistol and sticky grenade loadouts, NO THANK YOU. I just want the vehicles to be a legit threat again.

Based on… what, exactly?

Sorry for asking a concerning question, this is the first time we get to see Promethean vehicles, I would like for there to be atleast a ground vehicle.

That’s the Halo community for ya.

I’m still waiting for that Forerunner tank from 2004.

Probably because game development isn’t magic. Yeah, the Hornet, Chopper and Prowler were in Halo 3, but it’s not as simple as transferring the vehicles from Halo 3 to Halo 4. Just because they were in previous games does not negate the fact that all new models, audio, effects and physics have to be applied to the existing vehicles in each new iteration.

There’s also vehicle variations/skins with the REQ system. That can technically account for some new forms of vehicles.

Yea, they didn’t add the mantis, or the phaeton to the lineup, nope. Sigh. Always whining and complaining, never happy with what you get. Seriously, are you 3?
