The "perfect" Halo.

This is my idea for the perfect Halo (Of course, this is all my opinion, but I’m sure there are some that agree.)

No bloom (Bloom on DMR confirmed for H4, but not on the BR)

1-50 (or even 1-100) ranking system based on winning to level up.

Grenade damage lowered (just a tad, compared to reach. Halo 2 or Halo 3 grenade damage preeze)

Bleed-through melee damage. (If you have half shields and no health, one melee should kill.)

Faster run, higher jump (confirmed for H4 already)

Battle Rifle 4 shot (speculated/confirmed? 5 shot, unfortunately)

4 player theater. (Nobody wants to watch a film alone, that’s not the point. I stopped using theater completely in Reach because of this.)

Ability to enable/disable kill zones in maps. Allows for glitching outside of map boundaries in customs, exploring the previously unexplorable. I don’t know what it was, but a solid key memory of Halo 2 was all the butterfly swording and rocket jumping and super bounces out of the maps provided many a time of enjoyment)

I will add more if anyone wants to provide good, constructive ideas for improving Halo and the speed of Halo gameplay, trying to return it to it’s roots instead of following a CoD/BF3 guideline that it seems to be going.

Besides the last part, it sounds a lot like Halo 3, bro.

Any differences? Sprint, maybe? Faster movement acceleration?

It sure, guess what? most of us want halo 4 to be more like halo 3, less like the abomination known as Reach.

> No bloom (Bloom on DMR confirmed for H4, but not on the BR)

DMR and I think the Pistol will have bloom, so deal with it.

> 1-50 (or even 1-100) ranking system based on winning to level up.

There is no 1-50 ranking system, Frankie has stated this.

> Grenade damage lowered (just a tad, compared to reach. Halo 2 or Halo 3 grenade damage preeze)

Grenade damage is just fine… needs to be adjusted here and there.

> Bleed-through melee damage. (If you have half shields and no health, one melee should kill.)

Maybe

> Faster run, higher jump (confirmed for H4 already)

It’s in Halo 4, it’s been said by 343i that you’ll move faster and jump higher, just like in Halo 3.

> Battle Rifle 4 shot (speculated/confirmed? 5 shot, unfortunately)

5 shot battle rifle will be just fine, you won’t notice that much, with the the faster rate of fire.

> 4 player theater. (Nobody wants to watch a film alone, that’s not the point. I stopped using theater completely in Reach because of this.)

this would be a good idea, tho I don’t care, I dislike having a person in the the theater with me when I’m trying to record something. Really don’t need the extra input.

That’s easy, there’s this thing called forge, have you heard of it?

I had a longer response for this but these forums are a little buggy for me and it deleted it when I posted it…

In a nutshell, yes, this is what I was going for. That is the point, I desire Halo to return to it’s Halo 2/Halo 3 roots. I’m not looking for a new path, or a game more like CoD/BF3. I want HALO, the Halo I grew up with and loved and played together with the closest and most badass community of players ever. Not this new casual standpoint that promotes playtime over skill.

Finally someone gets what I mean, been saying it on here for ages. I loved play the originals over, over when I was younger but Reach had none of the elements that made Halo what it is.

i think the mechanics and physics of the game are going to be similar to halo 4 but since they bought back armor abilities people assume it will be a carbon copy of reach

> That’s easy, there’s this thing called forge, have you heard of it?

Really? theres boundaries everywhere, very limited to what anyone can do, in fact halo 3 forge is more, has more variety.

they havent released info on forge so we dont know what the limits are yet, i hope for the best

Wasn’t we comparing reach to halo 3 forge? anyway thats what I meant since hate reach forge, hoping halo 4 is sorted correctly.

Halo CE with Forge, matchmaking, theater, regenerating health, and new maps.
And a few new weapons, but don’t touch the ones already there.

i wouldn’t want the grenades from halo ce to return

basically, this trailer

I want to see that many players/vehicles at once.

Oh, and where’s “Amazing Campaign” on that list?

> Oh, and where’s “Amazing Campaign” on that list?

I’m a little bias I suppose for the multiplayer aspects of the game. I buy the games mostly for the multiplayer, for the story I read the books.

The Perfect Halo is HALO 2. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. HANDS MOTHA #*#&@%ing DOWN.

By the way, there is no bloom in Halo 4. Read between the lines of Killa KC’s writing. There’s not actually bloom, it’s just a visual representation of when you can shoot your next shot. I.E. Sniper Bloom

They had a long enough fuse, had loud bouncing sounds, and were bright. You could avoid them.

Maybe those would be the only weapon I’d change. I like the Halo 3 grenades.

I agree with you but the BR should be a 3 shot rifle

Good gods, this forum is boring these days. All most people ever do is -Yoink- about MP.
