The Past, Present & Future of the next Halo

Based from the mass amount of feedback that the community had given about Halo 4, I’m sure 343i will make the proper choice in their next game. Some might agree while other disagree, which I understand. Yes Halo 4 has many issues that has pushed it away from the past installments, alas it’s still a Halo game regardless. So instead of coming on here and complaining and posting a irrelevant post, why not make a constructive thread stating the issues, your ideas and thoughts and possible solutions to make the Halo gaming experience better.

I honestly see more complaints on here about Halo 4, rather than constructive ideas on how to make the game and series alone better for the next installment. Though the voice speaks loud, I believe that 343i seriously needs to make a community/developer connection, which is something I haven’t seen yet. It wouldn’t hurt for them to come out and ask the community questions and by doing this, they could fix things instead of winging it, hoping for the best.

What are your guys thought on the matter?

(NOTE: please be constructive and mature with your answers, agree to disagree)

Infinity slayer should be a gimmick game type. Rules and maps like those in the legendary slayer hopper, which have a style similar to older Halos, should be the main style. Make AA’s map pick-ups. Do away with player perks except in infinity.

I consider this constructive, because Halo cannot beat Call of Duty by making themselves Call of Duty in space. They need to stress what is different about them compared to the glut of modern war shooters. The infinity playstyles should still be there for customs and a designated hopper or two.

Settings will be irrelevant if the game does not function well. For the next installment of Halo, 343 really, really needs to focus on game performance on average IP’s.

That and having peoples favorite gametypes included from the beginning.

Oh, and don’t make system link play impossible or extremely hard to set up. I’d wager there are still people out there who would like to have LAN parties.

I know I wanted to have one.

I’m sure 343 can tell the difference between constructive criticism and just flat out raging. They have done well with feedback so far based on what we’ve seen with the Halo 4 and Halo Reach TU.
