I feel that this sort of dismissive attitude really displays an ignorance of how addictive and compulsive behaviors actually work, and how this system is predatory by specifically trying to exploit them.
The problem with just ignoring means 343i can use that excuse to claim anything.
Here’s the problem…if Infinite does well then 343i will continue this annoying trend and if Infinite flops then 343i would try to blame the community instead of being accountable for their actions.
Saying people don’t need to do challenges is just nonsense because everyone has different preferences. Criticism is important and forcing these predatory systems is how they can kill their overall player base.
To continue to ignore feedback and to make ridiculous excuses is just bad for the fans overall and there is no incentive to keep playing.
Just repeating playing for fun does not excuse poor design choices. Unlocking content is part of playing the game and that excuse is getting old. Just because people like grindy content does not mean we enjoy or want to tolerate it any further.
