Perks (or how they’re going to call them), please don’t bring them into the game, it’s the main reason I don’t play normal fps.
But we haven’t seen how they work so I guess we can just wait…
The scoring shown is either just a high killcount during testing or a new gametype entirely, i highly doubt it will take place of say 50 kill’s in Team slayer for example.
The perk’s are giving me huge concern’s right now.

on the right of the gif you can see that there are 2 medals, each with a 5 under them, and when this guy gets the medals the score bumps from 389 to 399 and it says br slayer, but I hope you’re right, another gametype would be better than just replacing the old one with the new one
yo how do we know there are perks? and what are they
im legit not buying halo4 if theres perks. the reason i like halo is because many FPS have perks, aim down the sights and that stuff and im just not down with it
Heavies, for the uninitiated amongst us, is a game type perfect for those who love vehicular action. Not only are there more Warthogs, Scorpions, Banshees, Falcons, Revenants, and Ghosts than you could ever ask for, but there are also a higher-than-average amount of power and anti-vehicle weapons, just waiting to cause mass destruction.
We have also taken some steps to give foot soldiers a better experience; slight changes to geometry provide more cover, speed has been upped to 110% (which is not a huge difference but it’s enough to make you slightly more resistant to the impending chaos going on around you), and many standard Infantry kills are rewarded with a bonus point.
This game type has a score limit of 200 with bonus points awarded for headshots, beat downs, assassinations, splatters, and sticks.
We have no idea what the perks are or how they affect gameplay, so until we get more information at least we cannot judge them yet. also, the perks are probably configurable and i have a feeling that there will be at least one playlist that doesn’t use them. that or you can play customs. i know there are many people who love playing custom games, not just in reach but halo 3 as well.
343i is probably finding ways to integrate them. also, from what was said, it sounds like the “perks” are directly connected to your armor. i have a feeling that most of them have to do with damage resistance, speed, and ammo capacity.
also, while i no longer play CoD, the one think i like about the perks is that while they are useful, many of them did not break the game for newer players. what did break it, in my opinion, are the generally more powerful weapons available to higher ranks. halo gives everyone an equal shot at getting weapons no matter your rank, and 343i stated that that portion of halo will not change.
Said at another thread, 'm saying it here again, seems they ruined the Arena MP type Halo always based to be, and are going towards Modern Shooter that we plenty have tons of them already.
