I know, the other music are good but this is the only music that makes me saying, ‘‘Oh, Halo is back!!!’’: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwcUlDMxq7U&feature=player_detailpage
What about Faithless? Revival? 117? Those all sound pretty Halo to me. I guess it’s all opinions in the end though.
There are a few things why the new music doesn’t sound “Halo” to you, and that’s because #1 it’s not Marty who is composing the music this time around. #2 it’s not video game rated sound track, it’s Movie rated sound track. #3 New Halo game + Developers + Sound Track composer.
To me it all sounds like Halo, but instead of Marty’s clam sound track, we’re getting Neil’s Movie quality sound track that grab you by the collar and says “HEY, LISTEN TO ME”.
It’s a new game, so we need a sound track that translates the new feel of the game. This isn’t your every Halo game where Chief is this awesome hero fighting elites and flood, this is Chief running into what’s left of the Covies, and what’s left of the Forerunner’s military, so we need music that feels a little different.

Well this particular piece actually sounds like it has Halo 3’s “Arrival/Luck” in the beginning of it so that’s probably why it sounds like Halo.
117 and To Galaxy sound the most Halo to me. It’s as if both ARE the themes of Halo 4.
Halo wars still sounds like halo as well.
This sounds more, personal, forerunnerish.
While I do think there need to be more Manly Monks chanting, they all still have that Halo sound.
> Awakening sounds like Halo to me, more like Halo Reach but still, Halo.
Best song on the OST so far IMO. It sounds incredible.
It doesn’t sound like Marty, but it is fitting.
