If the jetpack isn’t severely altered, removed, or replaced, Halo 4 will be ruined. That was the one thing I couldn’t stand about Halo: Reach. Jetpack. It ruined every map it touched.
Please, 343i, don’t let this happen.
DISCLAIMER: Please excuse my peremptoriness. Nothing I post should be taken as fact as I know nothing more than anyone else on this forum. While what I say may seem dogmatic, in reality, I’m just very strongly adamant about my opinions. Please don’t assume I’m complaining or dissing Halo 4. I believe strongly in what 343i is doing. I’m just expressing how I feel about jetpack.
How do you know its broken have you played the game??, u can’t judge the game because of Reach. Wait until you really play it…Also it’s not a jetpack there Thruster packs 2

Did you read his post? He clearly said if Jetpack is not changed, Halo 4 will be ruined, not that it will ruin it no matter what.

Halo’s maps are designed with routes in mind. When you’re able to deviate from a route and get somewhere quicker than the map’s routes intended, the map is broken, which, in turn, ruins Halo 4’s multiplayer.
Let me rephrase: if Jetpack isn’t altered, replaced, or removed, Halo 4’s multiplayer maps will be practically ruined.

That implies the same jetpack will still work the same in two different games. That is an uncertainty.

Please give me a source. I beg you. I need confirmation.

Um…what says the jetpack wasn’t or isn’t intended for those routes?

I thought he was implying that it needs to be changed. Yes, it’s uncertainty on whether or not it will be changed, but right now, everything about jetpack is uncertain and nothing is confirmed about it.
Umm… the jet pack never broke or ruined anything in halo reach. IDK if I where to focus on how awful jet pack is every time I was killed by it; I might develop a slight grudge for the jet pack(im sure this is the case for anything you decide to dislike).
The jet pack was great, but it will probably be made better this game.
You know…just saying that it will doesn’t make it so. Stop assuming you know everything…
You have no proof that the jetpack will ruin Halo 4. You don’t even have a shred of Gameplay to back up your argument. You have no clue what the Jetpack is going to be like on Halo 4 so until you do, I suggest you keep it closed and keep your “facts” to yourself.

Personally I saw we wait and see how the jetpack is in Halo 4. If ti needs changing, a TU can come in and patch it up. Wish we would get a beta to get to this issue beforehand, but oh well.

Common sense. You can’t really design a map with aerial routes in mind, unless it’s blatantly obvious. Very few of Reach’s maps were designed specifically for jetpack (Sword base), but a map should never be designed for a specific ability.
Basically, trying to build a map that doesn’t allow jetpack users to get places quicker (mind you, way quicker. Look at Reflection) than others is nearly impossible. It shouldn’t EVER work that way.

1 i don’t get how the Jetpack is bad there is a reason why it’s there…2 Halo is not using Jetpacks there thrusters they will make u jump higher not fly. Yes i read the post. 3 We don’t now how it will be in Halo 4??? Do u now??

Actually, I think it might have been from one of the leaked sources…
