I have been into videogames hardcore ever since I discovered red sneakers on Sonic the HedgeHog. But, when I started playing Halo I realized I was a casual gamer. This game was intense and realistic. I’d always be planted face first next to the Tv with sweating, shaking hands trying to do my teams justice. By H3 I got pretty good at it I got to rank 36 and felt good about it.
Reach comes out and I learned the perqs of team playing. I could get 20 kills a match and lose the round. Sometimes I’d get those beast plays for 30 kills but 20 is alot. But if I had just one friend to play with and he got 20 kills that’s 40 points so those two jack -Yoinks!- who got 3-5 kills were irrelevant. I got 20,000 kills in that person cousin and was only at Mythic by the time H4 comes out DX
Halo 4 comes out and I get it. The ease and playability allows me to relax. I get 30 kills a match frequently getting the highest score of the round although still managing to lose many matches at the same time. I got 25 kills no deaths in a ghost yesterday, if you know how -Yoink- these vehicles are that’s saying alot. I’ve got it all figured out this time around. I am a Beast now. I’m just waiting for an MLG playlist to come out.
But here’s the irony. Look Idc about specializations, hell I’d give mine away for free if I got one. What perturbs me is the fact that I can’t level up past 70. It’s only been a month and I’ve basically beaten multiplayer? You had your fun now go buy BOps2? This Halo is for me.
The thing is I would have accepted it except for the fact they said they’d release the codes and I got my hopes up. Before it was a matter of pay to play which I adamantly oppose but now it is a feeling of missing out as if they released DLC for one day and I was at work.
343 is fumbling, you get this from Elder Scrolls, you get this from Fable, Cod releases the same exact game every two years, Halo is a gamechanger, now the whole videogame world has cast shadows on 343. In an interview one of the developers compared H4 to a snipershot across a map at Bungie, like it was going to be some badass game that blew bungies success out of the water into yesterday. I think you missed 343
I like unlocking amour, I like leveling up, I like getting high scores and winning matches.
What if you couldn’t have armour everyone else gets? What if your kills didn’t count in game when the other team’s did?
Oh but you just play for fun right?
The Irony is that of all the Halos I’ve played, which is all of them, this is the one time that I want to actually excel at. Maybe I don’t want to play it casual anymore well I picked the wrong installment didn’t I?

yeah…um…you missed the competitive boat by about 8 years guy. sorry.
So the whole game is ruined because you didn’t get your email? Just about everyone I know who bought standard edition, including myself, got the email this weekend, downloaded it, and stopped complaining.
> Is levelling up really all you play these games for?
I don’t think people used to, but honestly, when there’s no ranking system to encourage people to strive, and when the gameplay is so bad that the RPG grind is all it has, why wouldnt you as a player just play for rank? I think thats the only reason people play CoD, is to rank up and unlock stuff. Its easy, and mildly fulfilling. Thing is, Halo isnt supposed to be that, its supposed to be a satisfying game of a difficult strive to victory with entertaining elements, for which, in the most part, are absent for most people.

oh no not permanent, I HOPE. they may change it…but ya never know…

Wait why is OP complaining saying he has beaten MM? And insinuating he is a level 70… He is a level 57. And if you master a game usually you win more than 44% of your games
