Yeah, I’m pretty sure the Sniper Rifle has remained more or less the same throughout all of the games.
I prefer the design in halo 4/5 but I wouldn’t mind getting a classic sniper. Just make it just like the old one, don’t make it one shot or faster shooting.
Literally just give the halo 5 sniper back it’s big view screen on the scope and it’s perfect.

when was sniper a one shot kill?? u sure ur not confusing with the halo 4 binary ( its still a 1 shot in h5, just need more skill when maintaining ur shot).
Also, snipers were only ever a 1 shot kill if u hit the head (headshot)…it was always 2 body shots.
finally, if u really do want a 1 shot sniper u have the nornfang…or u cud use a damage boost with a regular snipe? i guess itll do the same trick as a nornfang??

Bring it back as in it was taken away? I am lost on this one; however a one hit kill is possible with a head shot

reskinned as the old one yes exactly, or if they make armor skins for non loadout weapons, that could be a reskin
The old sniper was only a one shot kill in the head, it doesn’t matter what old halo game too, all the snipers (except the binary rifle) were headshot kills. What you are describing is the Nordfang, already in the game since launch.

Sorry what I meant was it should have better recoil, and should have a faster rate of fire, forget the one shot thing. and also can stay zoomed in when you get hit
I’d be cool with the H2 anniversary sniper especially the sound
