You remember how they used to say hate the player not the game? Well I used to hate the players honestly, but now I hate the game.
It’s not the consumers who created this atrocious Halo. It was the producers.
Well actually you can argue the players had a say in the development in halo 5. After halo 4 343 was heavily criticized for making halo way to “social” and that it was not “competitive” enough. So what did 343 do? They made a competitive game that is now also not to the communities liking. In a way the community did guide the path in which halo 5’s gameplay went but do to the community never being able to agree on anything we get the mixed opinion posts.
Just a thought

I don’t know why you would use an idiom you weren’t familiar with. The phrase you are referring to is, “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.” and it is usually used as an attempt to excuse despicable behavior.
What did I just read?

Don’t try to quote me on that now grammar police. I used the correct term. It’s said in many different ways.
You’re probably upset because I didn’t say the game was as enjoyable as the other Halo’s. Halo really sucks now.
And the new content is horrible. It makes me never want to buy Halo ever again, and try my best to pretend I were never a part of this community.

That would probably be easier if you stopped coming here. Food for thought.

Not talking is not the same as not listening. The fact they made a super competitive game shows that they saw and acknowledged the communities complaints about state of halo 4.
He is just stating you used your idiom wrong which you did, no one really cares whether or not you like the game since you provide no reasoning behind your complaint. You just made a post basically saying “this game sucks.” If you want a logical response maybe make a logical complaint.

Let me help you out here. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE TERM IS USED TO IMPLY THAT YOUR UPSET WITH ANOTHER PLAYER FOR WHATEVER YOUR REASON MAY BE, BUT I DON’T HATE THE PLAYERS ANYMORE. ALSO I COULD GIVE A HOOT LESS IF ANOTHER PLAYER WERE TO -Yoink!- ME. THIS HALO GAME IS THE WORST HALO GAME EVER MADE.

Caps lock set to maximum, Captain! And no it isn’t, the idiom is used as an excuse for despicable behavior, I.E: It’s okay that someone acting like a -Yoink-, because the game requires you to act like a -Yoink-. Though I have to say it is the first time, I’ve seen someone apply the term to something other than dating.
Stop playing then, don’t need toxicity in the community
Dude this game is toxic, not the community, that’s why most of the community is gone. Look at the sales.
This game is horrible. And I will gladly not pay 60 dollars on the next installment to this garbage.
Halo truly is dead. My last hope was in this franchise. I’ll probably sell my XBOX ONE soon anyways, because I’m honestly beginning to grow up.
Video games seem to only attract the generation they are created in. This new stuff is just dumb. Halo used to be so simple, but now it’s was too complex.
This game will eventually lose itself like C.O.D. Originality is no longer a thing, and neither is simplicity.
I just want to say comedyshermit is my new favorite poster.
On topic, OP clearly has no idea what the saying he’s trying to quote is used for. Lol.

logical complaints apparently are as well. A game does not promote toxic behavior (though division could be an example of one that might) the community is what toxifies a game. I will say what I have said on other posts, movement speed/mechanics do not and have not defined halo. Halo arena combat is fair start, map/weapon control, cooperative gameplay. Sure things are faster and there are new movement options but the core mechanics are still present. If you dont like it thats fine, just stop playing the game instead of creating a thread that provides to constructive benefit and only provides a toxic demeanor.
I like how you say the game is toxic when you a member of the community are the one posting toxic opinions (not constructive and negative in nature)
