I agree …split screen is one of the best features …just call some friends home n chill playing halo
I’m not against Halo 5 having 4 player split screen. I’ve never needed it myself but I’m glad it still has 2 player split screen coz my missus loves Halo
I’m loving the participation so far everyone. Let’s keep up the good work!
You can add my name to the list of those who are disappointed with this.
I have been waiting to purchase an XBOXOne until Halo 5 came out. Sure I like to play Halo online by myself, but the real fun is when I get together with friends. I still have regular monthly LAN events at my house with a bunch of friends (Usually close to 16 guys on anywhere from 4-8 systems), where we play Halo 3, 4 or reach. We are almost all married and with careers. Guys nights are a time that we each look forward to. The bottom line is that if Halo 5 doesn’t offer 4 player split screen then we won’t be buying it. It looks like a good game, and I love Halo, but I’d rather keep my guys nights and save the money.

> You know having 4PSS is beneficial for 343 as well. Consider this scenario. Some who is undecided about this generation of game consoles goes to a friend’s house. They either watch someone play destiny on their PS4, and think hey that looks pretty cool, or they get to actually play Halo 5 with their friend and maybe a couple other buddies and get to experience the game first hand. Which do you think they would be more likely to purchase? Word of mouth is also a very strong form of marketing.
True story. I can’t tell you the number of people who I know that have purchased a Halo game, or even an XBox360 after playing at a party and deciding they wanted it for themselves.

Prepare even for more disappointment, unfortunately.
Xbox One doesn’t support a true LAN experience and has NO support for System Link.
You have to be connected to Xbox Live to do “LAN”… In addition, have Xbox Live Gold subscriptions…
Which makes your entire LAN party dependent on the status of Xbox Live and your internet connection. sigh -Yoink!-, Microsoft…
At the least, I want to see 4 player Split Screen preserved in Halo 5.
My frustrations with LAN sessions on Xbox One is high, but at least whenever that goes to -Yoink-, we can still have fun sessions if we have local 4 player gameplay…
I feel like that feature is kinda outdated, with Xbox live and such. But I lack people who would be interested in LAN parties.
One day I will be able to afford 3 more controllers for my Xbox One and on that day I want to use them with my friends and family so we can mess around in Halo 5 custom games. Hell yes we need this feature!
We got the SPnKr back we can get this back!

No, not really.
It’s still a really useful feature.
If you have other people in the same place and want to play Halo…
Well, It’s not a matter of Xbox Live, now, huh?

Yes.
You have my full support, OP.
Have 343i commented on this since the tweets?

Not that I know of. They’re quite good at ignoring consumers, so I’m not confident that they will respond to my tweets.
I can’t do this by myself. We all should be tweeting our argument to 343.

ugh… :-[
Well, at least I can save the money. I’ll still have fun with my guys nights on the older Halo games. The only way that changes for me is if I can at least have 4 player split screen. Then with only a few guys that have xbox live we can still play with 8-12 players in a custom match. It’s still better to have everyone in the same place…
So is this more 343’s fault or Microsoft’s?

Well, the Xbox thing is obviously Microsoft’s.
Halo 5, though… Probably 343.
Hey-hey, just got out of a game of BTB wgrre4 people on my team were doing 4 way split, and they all did 3 and 20!
Thank god 4 way split is being removed.
343 likes to make the game they want and not make a game that the buyers want. Thats why they wont include 4 player split screen, this company is a joke.

Back in Halo 3, guests weren’t allowed in Ranked Playlists.
So long as that stays true with Halo 5, I don’t see why this would be a problem.
Social Playlists are meant just for -Yoink- and giggles and fun, so… yeah.
Also, I personally am not saying to have 4 player split screen match making - though of course I want it to still be a feature.
So long as I can do 4 player local split screen, I’d be… just a tad content, though not as content as I could be.
Not cause of 4 split screen match making, since my main problem stems from Microsoft.
Either way, match making limits or not, just want that 4 player split screen.

> Come on 343 just lock 4 player split screen at 30-40 fps and everything is fine. God I would love to have fully functioning split screen back, not the garbage that was H2A and H4.
THANK YOU! The unplayable split-screen experience in H2A and H4 is unacceptable. Fix your mess, 343. It’s the reason I can’t enjoy LAN parties anymore.
DID YOU HEAR ME 343? I said that I can’t have fun LAN parties anymore because your programmers/project leads didn’t care to make H4 or H2A playable on split-screen. Why did you take this away from the fans who trusted you?

Wait, you want 4PSS to be removed so that you won’t have to worry about (gasp) losing a BTB game? Removing 4PSS isn’t going to solve poor skill based matching, it’ll only prevent those 4 players from enjoying a great game. Please don’t bring that attitude here, you sound foolish. That said, I pity you—losing like that really sucks.
